Additional working dogs may also be re-handled depending on operational requirements.What you’ll be doing:<ul><li>You will respond promptly to requests for a police dog, supplying professional expertise and tactical advice and operational support to front line officers.</li><li>You will conduct searches using general purpose or specialist dogs in support of local officers; to expedite the location of missing persons and the arrest of offenders; and to support local officers in their investigations and responses to incidents.</li><li>You will support the containment of dangerous dogs out of control including inter-familial dog attacks and cases on private property, to protect public safety.</li><li>You must be willing to have a liveried police vehicle at your home address while off duty or use personal vehicle to transport the police dog to and from duty. The work of the directorate’s teams includes delivery of major events, designing and leading public affairs or marketing campaigns, providing data, evidence and analysis, leading cross-organisational programmes, to making sure we plan for and can respond to emerging events or emergencies in our city.
 London Resilience Unit
Working with over 170 organisations the London Resilience Unit delivers and coordinates resilience services across the capital on behalf of the Mayor of London and Local Authorities.
London Resilience supports the work of the London Resilience Partnership in assessing risks, working to reduce the likelihood or impact of those risks and, where risk can’t be eliminated, preparing arrangements to respond, recover and learn from emergencies.

 About the role</h2>
This exciting opportunity will be based in the Intelligence and Analysis Team and will work with blue light partners and the London Situational Awareness Team will monitor real time events and information feeds to produce high quality intelligence led briefings on unfolding events impacting London.
You will be part of a small team that will work closely with one of London’s leading blue light partners at the centre of their operations capability to provide insight and analysis to key decision makers. This is a unique opportunity to play a crucial role at the centre of London’s day to day management.
A key requirement for this role is good judgement and the ability to identify, process, analyse and comprehend critical elements of information about what is happening and turn this information into actionable intelligence that will shape the response to a critical and major events and incidents.
You will be expected to make judgements on difficult/sensitive issues, with a keen awareness of any wider implications (political/media/etc).&nbsp; You should have excellent customer focus (with a range of internal and external customers/stakeholders), good communications skills and the desire to deliver a lasting impact is essential. Experience of policy, crisis management and or intelligence analysis/operational work is desirable.
Overall, this job offers an excellent combination of initiative, service delivery and policy work covering the full range of London’s city operations. The job will involve weekend working on a rotating basis and qualifies for an unsociable hour’s allowance.

Senior Risk &amp; Continuity Officer
About the Role: 
The Senior Risk and Business Continuity Officer will be a key strategic role in ensuring the Council maintains a robust risk management and business continuity framework that safeguards operations, services, and public confidence and sits within a small but busy team under the Risk, Continuity &amp; Insurance Manager.
The role will involve the formulation of policy, decision-making on key risk management strategies, and ensuring business continuity planning is embedded at a corporate level.
About the candidate:
You will have a significant degree of autonomy and responsibility, lead the development and implementation of risk management and business continuity policies, and ensure compliance with legislation, corporate policies, and best practices.
Working closely with senior management and service leads, the post holder will drive organisational change, proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
You will also liaise with external partners, deliver training programs, and assist in the continuous improvement of risk management processes whist providing authoritative advice on risk, resilience, and business continuity, developing policies and governance frameworks that enhance the Council’s overall strategic risk management approach.

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Licensing Officer to join our small but busy team. &nbsp;Your full range of duties will include enforcing the relevant provisions under the Licensing Act, Gambling Act, street trading/collections, hackney carriage/private hire, scrap metal dealers, and animal welfare.&nbsp; You will be carrying out site visits and licensed premises inspections, you will therefore need your own car to get around the district.
You will be enthusiastic, committed, self-motivated and have a positive attitude. You must be an excellent communicator with sound time management skills and be confident in dealing with members of the public.&nbsp; You must be able to demonstrate your ability to adapt to changing priorities and work to tight deadlines.

About the Role
The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority’s (LCRCA) Evidence, Research and Intelligence service creates evidence and insight to inform, underpin and support policy, strategy and investment decisions taken across the LCRCA.
We are looking to appoint an Interim Head of Spatial and Strategic Evidence on a one year fixed term basis to lead the development and implementation of strategic evidence projects across a range of policy areas, with a particular focus on economic development and place-based regeneration (including housing and transport).
This is a critical post at an important time for the Combined Authority. As our devolution journey progresses, there is increasing reliance on and scrutiny of our evidence base to inform strategy development and to support devolution discussions. At the same time, we want to further enhance our capability to analyse and understand our evidence base spatially, so that we are well placed to develop and deliver integrated, placed based investments and activities for the benefit of the whole City Region.
The Interim Head of Strategic and Spatial Evidence will report to the Assistant Director of Evidence, Research and Intelligence and will work with stakeholders across the Combined Authority to implement strategic evidence projects which cut across the ERI’s technical work areas and highlight strategic implications and messages, linked to corporate priorities and the evolving national policy agenda.&nbsp; &nbsp;
This is a 12 month fixed term role.
 About the person
The post holder will work as part of the ERI Service’s Senior Management Team and work collaboratively with teams across the ERI service, drawing on their resources and inputs as required to inform strategic evidence projects. This includes teams focused on economic analysis, transport analysis, evidence and modelling, citizen insight and participation, research and evaluation and delivery planning and performance reporting.
We are looking for an experience economic development professional with significant experience of designing and implementing evidence and analytical projects to inform economic development policy, strategy and investment. The idea candidate will have strong knowledge and understanding of the strategic and economic context for the LCRCA and the wider national policy context in which the organisation operates.

This new role will generate insight from social research and provide expert advice to senior leaders, focusing on Mayoral priorities and embedding our principles in everything we do.
