We are recruiting a Principal Manager – Operational & Engineering, who would be responsible for the services delivered by the engineering team, gas compliance team, surveyors and aids and adaptions for c17,500 tenant and leasehold properties across the borough.

You will lead a team responsible for managing repairs and maintenance, mechanical, gas, electrical and lift engineering works ensuring contractors deliver a high quality, value for money service to customers. This will include ensuring contractors are compliant with the terms of their contracts; works are delivered on time, within budget and meet agreed Key Performance Indicator targets. 

About you

We are looking for an experienced manager, one with a positive and proactive approach, a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

As the successful candidate, you will come with experience of working at a strategic level in Property Services and a knowledge of managing planned and preventative maintenance services within a social housing environment. This should include a knowledge of CDM Regulations and Local Authority Health and Safety in relation to maintenance of assets.

Aside from the above you will be an effective manager with the ability to lead and motivate staff, as well manage time and resources productively in a fast-paced environment to meet competing demands.
