We are looking for a Private Sector Housing Officer to join our Private Sector Housing Team. Your primary function will be to carry out private sector housing enforcement including the use of HHSRS assessments. You will also deal with a range of other enquiries including HMO licensing and complaints, grant enquiries, complaints of harassment and illegal eviction, public health funerals and immigration inspections.

You should be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of specialist area related issues and to be able to communicate clearly and fluently using the most appropriate method. Ideally you will have experience in undertaking property inspections and identifying building defects and associated remedial works.

This is the perfect opportunity to come and develop skills in those areas where you have not yet had direct experience and further develop your career.

This post is up to a 24 month contract and is a part time role working 22.5 hours per week, working pattern to be discussed at interview stage.
