Procurement and Contract Manager
£35,324-£42,702 per annum
We are seeking an organised and commercially aware individual to fill the role of Procurement and Contracts Manager at Spelthorne Borough Council. The work is varied and offers the right candidate the opportunity to develop and maintain procurement policies and strategy and to assist in driving forward contract management systems.
You will provide accurate, professional procurement advice to the organisation in particular identifying the best procurement route to follow.
You will assist in securing value for money through innovation, service redesign and continuous improvement. You will develop and utilise modern professional procurement and contract management methods and techniques, whilst ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
We are looking for a confident, business focused individual who can demonstrate creative thinking, problem solving, with an eye for detail and an ability to work effectively with other people.
You will have excellent analytical skills, be highly organised, and possess excellent communication and project management skills. You will also have strong IT skills.
