The successful candidate with have a broad experience of procurement within a Local Government/Public Sector environment and a thorough understanding of Local Government/Public Sector procurement regulations.&nbsp; This includes the application of the new Procurement Act 2023.&nbsp; You will be passionate about delivering sustainability and championing social value whilst achieving a successful balance between innovation and meeting corporate policies and regulatory requirements. You will be experienced in using a procurement portal for tenders.
We are looking for individuals who are CIPS qualified and have strong experience within procurement roles.&nbsp; You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of contract law and will have a successful track record of negotiating with external stakeholders.&nbsp; You will be conversant with procurement methodologies, techniques and proficient in completing research and market analysis.
&nbsp;You will be technically competent with experience in delivering complex projects working with a range of stakeholders internal and external to the council.&nbsp; You will work with suppliers to develop strategies to ensure the Council is receiving the most efficient service terms and conditions while maintaining value and cost efficiency benefits.
Ideally you will be experienced in end-to-end public sector ICT procurement and completent in using G-Cloud, CCS and other public ICT frameworks.

Following a restructure of our procurement team we have already filled several roles, and are now recruiting for a Procurement Business Partner for our Place and Resources directorate to complete the team. &nbsp;
<h3>About you…</h3>
As a Procurement Business Partner, you will work closely with Heads of Service supporting them in making decisions around commissioning, procurement, and contract management activities. You will also work on improving forward planning and procurement pipelines, whilst managing demand and prioritising contracts appropriately.&nbsp;
You will be responsible for managing a Procurement Officer and supporting them to create and apply procurement strategies and deliver a range of procurements - directly supporting the council’s most strategic contracts and promoting sustainable, effective procurement practice.&nbsp;
You will be personable and self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to build strong and positive relationships internally with your stakeholders.&nbsp;
As our Procurement Business Partner, you will also have a detailed understanding of the procurement and commissioning lifecycle, be able to adopt a strategic business partnering approach to support the development and delivery of a strategic sourcing pipeline, whilst managing demand and prioritising contracts appropriately.&nbsp;
