<h4>Job summary</h4><p>We are recruiting for an Assistant Head, Contract Management for the first-generation outsourcing, Army Collective Training Service (ACTS) contract. Collective Training is a high profile, critical service for the Army and the contract is expected to be let early in 2026. The contract value will be around £2.5bn, over a contract duration of 15 years. ACTS will be an especially complex contract with many existing contracts and services due to transfer into it in the early years.</p><p>If you are looking for a challenging, fast paced role, where you can join right at the beginning of a new contract and play a key role in how Army receives an outstanding, value for money service, this could be the role for you!</p><p>Army Commercial is one of four Front Line Command teams, alongside Navy, Air and Cyber &amp; Specialist Operations Command, responsible for working closely with the British Army to deliver innovative solutions to Defence requirements. These range in value and complexity from long term commitments in specialist capability areas, to low value short term support contracts. We also contract for sales contracts generating income and supporting wider Defence engagement priorities.</p><p>The Army Contract Management team sits within the Army Commercial Team and is spread over several UK locations. The team are responsible for the commercial contract management of a wide-ranging portfolio of work. This ranges from several very high-value and complex contracts, to those of medium duration, value or complexity, and to lower value, shorter duration contracts.</p><p>You will also be a member of the Army Commercial Extended Leadership Team. <h4>Job summary</h4><p>The Defence Commercial Graduate Programme (DCGP) aims to recruit individuals from a range of diverse backgrounds. It is owned by the MOD Director General Commercial and is centrally governed by the DCGP Management Team.</p><p><br>Upon joining, you will complete induction training and embark on your Chartered Institute of Procurement &amp; Supply (CIPS) and MOD Specific training. You will receive on-going support throughout the Programme from your Sponsor Line Manager, the DCGP Management Team, experienced Mentors, and past and present Programme members.<br><br></p><p>At the end of the Programme, provided you have achieved the standards expected, you will be offered the opportunity to move into a middle management professional role within your Sponsor Business Area’s commercial function at your designated Permanent Duty Station.</p><p><em>If you are successful and join the DCGP, the location detailed in your offer will be your <strong>Permanent Duty Station</strong>. </em></p><p><em>Where business needs allow, some placements may be suitable for a combination of office and working from home as part of a non-contractual hybrid working arrangement depending on the requirements of the placement/project team. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD workplace, will also count towards this level of office attendance.
