Programme Manager – Economy, Regeneration and Skills

Accelerating Swindon’s Growth Potential

By 2036, Swindon will be the UK’s most innovative, productive, fastest-growing city. We will invest in and upskill our people, enabling our businesses to compete on a world stage, and enhance residents’ quality of life through investment in the towns growth and regeneration.

One of the fastest growing towns and cities in the UK, we are committed to transformation and regeneration. 22,000 new homes are planned by 2026 including the UKʼs largest urban extension whilst there is half a billion of planned investment in town-centre regeneration and a corporate commercialisation agenda designed to maximise our assets.

We believe that the success of our vision will depend on the very people working within the council. Joining Swindon Borough Council as our Programme Manager for Economy, Regeneration and Skills is your chance to make a significant difference and be part of something exciting.

You will assume responsibility for programme management of the council’s Economy, Regeneration, Skills, Planning and Property directorate. A broad portfolio with opportunities to be involved in strategic partnerships with the Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise partnership among others, major infrastructure projects, large-scale planning and regeneration schemes, low carbon and renewables projects and a host of other exciting opportunities.

A great opportunity to work in programme management across the range of skills, regeneration and planning and property in a developing commercial environment, creating business improvement while supporting the services to grow Swindon’s economy.
