Programme Support Officer

Full Time Hours, Fixed Term/Secondment Contract for 3 years

The County Community Safety Unit (CCSU) brings together professionals from the Council and the police with the aim of reducing crime and anti-social behaviour, tackling substance misuse and reducing offending in Hertfordshire.

The unit currently works within a range of areas including (but not limited to): Drugs and Alcohol, Integrated Offender Management, Hate Crime, Anti-social Behaviour and Community Safety.

You will support the development and operational delivery of strategies and initiatives to reduce crime and increase public confidence in one or more of the units’ priority areas.

You will provide advice and give tactical direction to partner agencies and commissioning services, and will be responsible for providing the links between districts and countrywide services on all aspects of this work.
