<h2>About the role</h2>As Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a diverse portfolio of projects including service improvement initiatives, procurement activities, and service reviews within the Housing Repairs and Maintenance service. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.&nbsp;You will be supporting the programme manager with a range of tasks, including:<ul>
<li>analysing business processes and producing step by step guides capturing current and future ways of working.</li>
<li>leading on a range of procurement projects that vary in value and complexity, producing contract waivers, service specifications, procurement contracts and mobilisation plans.&nbsp;</li>
<li>managing end-to-end project lifecycles, from initiation to post-project evaluation and be responsible.</li>
<li>driving change management and support the implementation of new systems and processes.</li>
<li>gathering and analysing a range of data to help inform business decisions&nbsp;</li>
<li>articulating problems and solutions in ways understood by all stakeholders.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Project management practitioner certification e.g. PRINCE2 or&nbsp;equivalent project management experience.</li>

This has meant our team work with people in the acute setting as well as those in community settings after a period of time in hospital. This can be either in step down beds whilst the person is benefiting from rehab or in the person’s home. We also work with those who need support to prevent a hospital admission including playing a role at the front door of the hospital by working with our health colleagues in the Emergency Department.We are a friendly and supportive team working in a busy environment; although working under pressure we maintain high professional standards of practice and are committed to ongoing professional development. Hastings Borough Council is seeking an experienced Programme Manager work with the interim board on the Plan for Neighbourhoods programme.
The Plan for Neighbourhoods is an exciting opportunity for Hastings to receive £20 million of investment from the Government, driven by the local community. An interim Hastings Board has been established to lead on the programme and will be responsible for developing the Plan for Neighbourhoods, a 10-year vision which clearly identifies the longer-term priorities for Hastings and 4-year Investment Plan.
The Board, together with the Programme Manager, needs to drive priorities from a range of investment options in conjunction with the local community and statutory bodies.&nbsp;
The programme has a 75% capital 25% revenue monetary split. It is expected the programme of activities and interventions will take a place-based approach, empowering and working with local communities to shape, influence and deliver the range of investment activities to achieve positive change in Hastings neighbourhoods. The interventions selected could be delivered with a mix of partners including from the community, voluntary, statutory and private sector organisations.&nbsp;
The Programme Manager will cover the whole of Hastings with a relative focus on the most disadvantaged areas as agreed by the Hastings Board. Interventions will focus on investment themes as outlined in the Plan for Neighbourhoods prospectus published by the government.
