We're seeking a Service Manager to lead our new service which is opening based in Bermondsey, an Independent Approved Premises (IAP) commissioned by Criminal Justice Services (CJS). The service works with residents who have recently been released from prison and helps them to reintegrate into the community, and restart their journey to independence. The team will identify resident needs alongside any licensing restrictions, and will create tailored, person centred support plans including housing support, activities, and personal journey outcomes to help them to reintegrate. The team work in a multi disciplinary approach, working alongside probation services, job centres, mental health teams, and other community partners, with a focus on risk management and public protection.&nbsp;
As a Service Manager, you will lead the team by providing line management and leadership support to enable and empower the team to deliver high quality support to our residents. You will drive service outcomes in line with our contractual requirements, ensuring quality, consistency, within a trauma informed setting. You will ensure all aspects of the service run smoothly and in collaboration with our internal teams and external partners. Service Manager

We’re looking for an accomplished and inspirational Project Director - Fire Remediation to lead Peabody’s £450 million external wall remediation and fire safety programme. As a senior leader within our Investment Directorate, you will oversee one of the largest and most complex remediation portfolios in the sector — ensuring our buildings meet the highest safety standards and enabling our residents and communities to thrive. Reporting to the Director of Asset Investment and Fire Remediation, you will lead a team of around 45 professionals, driving the strategic acceleration of remediation works across approximately 200 buildings, ensuring all projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements. This is an exceptional opportunity to deliver sector-leading impact, strengthen our organisational resilience, and play a pivotal role in making homes safer across London. What You’ll Lead <ul><li>The successful delivery of Peabody’s external wall remediation programme, including all buildings over 18m and 11m within strategic timeframes.</li><li>Acceleration of complex fire remediation works, aligned with Peabody’s long-term financial plan, external grant funding, and cost recovery opportunities.</li><li>Robust project management, reporting, and governance — ensuring performance KPIs are visible at executive and board level.</li><li>Effective design, procurement, and contractual strategies to ensure high-quality, compliant, value-for-money outcomes.</li><li>Coordination of remediation works with wider planned investment programmes to minimise resident disruption and optimise capital use.</li><li>A high-performing team culture that champions accountability, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.</li></ul> What You’ll Need <ul><li>Significant experience successfully leading large-scale, multi-stakeholder remediation or capital programmes, with accountability to senior or executive leadership.</li><li>Strong understanding of fire safety, building safety regulation, and the delivery of compliant remediation projects.</li><li>Proven ability to establish effective project controls, manage complex risks, and ensure a consistent Golden Thread of information.</li><li>A strategic and innovative mindset — able to drive improvements, influence decision-making, and navigate highly complex challenges.</li><li>Excellent stakeholder management skills, including working with central government, regulators, local authorities, consultants, and contractors.</li><li>Inspirational leadership qualities, fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and delivery.</li><li>Strong commercial acumen including financial oversight, value-for-money principles, and contract management.</li><li>Degree-level qualification or equivalent; professional accreditation (MRICS, MCIOB, APM or similar) is highly desirable.</li><li>Exceptional written communication skills, including report writing at board level.</li></ul> Why Join Us? Job Title:&nbsp;Service Manager&nbsp;
Location:&nbsp;This role is based in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC), the service is a short walk from Ladbroke Grove (Circle and Hammersmith) station. Unfortunately, this service does not have step free access.
Salary:&nbsp;£40,100
Shift Pattern:&nbsp;12 month fixed term contract,37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00. Onsite face to face service, with flexibility around these hours required as per resident and service requirements. All managers, including this position will take part in the out of hours on call duty.&nbsp;
<h4>About the Role</h4>
We're looking for a Service Manager to join our team based in RBKC. You will manage multiple dispersed services within the area. In this role, you will support your team to deliver person centred care and support to residents who face multiple and complex needs which includes mental health challenges, substance use challenges, and homelessness. You will be a natural leader, able to support a team with your knowledge and experience to provide the best support to the residents, through empowerment and upskilling.&nbsp;
You will support them to deliver a seamless and supportive service which enables residents to overcome personal challenges and to achieve their goals. We're looking for someone who is solution focused, has a passion for the resident group we support, and driven to make a lasting change to lives. This is a 12 month fixed term contract with the view that it may be extended into a permanent position in the future.
