Islington Council has received Phase II funding from the Department for Education (DfE) to improve the way we deliver help to children and families, through Motivational Social Work, our Innovation Project. Islington is also one of a small number of ‘Partners in Practice’ local authorities in the country. This status recognises us as a national leader in practice and leadership, and through it we are funded to support other local authorities to improve their practice systems. Islington’s recently published Ofsted inspection confirms our status and rates our leadership as ‘outstanding’ and our overall practice as ‘good’. As Project Support Officer you will use excellent administrative and project management skills to support the project team to implement a programme of organisational change that will influence practice, supervision, leadership, and create the conditions to practice. You will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day administrative functions of the project operations and contributing to the timely delivery of project deliverables. This is both an exciting and busy post requiring you to work to tight deadlines and effectively prioritise a range of demands. You need to have the ability to organise your own workload and carry out tasks with minimal supervision, and to take a proactive approach to your work. In return we offer: • A rare opportunity to support a groundbreaking project in a highly influential local authority • The opportunity to work alongside recognised experts in practice and research • Access to training and development opportunities • Regular high-quality supervision • A highly-skilled and committed project team • Good pension scheme and generous holidays • Flexible working arrangements Closing date: Sunday 24 September 2017 at 23:59 Interview and test date: Week commencing 2 October 2017 For an informal discussion about this post please contact Stephen Rice, Principal Child and Family Social Worker, on 0207 527 8913 or at .
