West Berkshire Council Reablement Service has an opportunity for a position as Reablement Coordinator, working as part of the team who manage the West Berks Council area.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for someone looking to enhance their existing skills. To fulfil this role you must have a good understanding of service delivery of care in the community with an enablement focus and a desire to work with others to maintain the standards set within Reablement which also includes an understanding of the requirements of the Care Quality Commission. The WBC Reablement Service works to the ethos of working with Service Users for a period of up to 6 weeks to enhance and return them to independence within their own home environment. An understanding of person centred care would be of considerable advantage to the applicants. Experience in the delivery of personal care would also be desirable.

The Coordinator directly manages a team of Reablement Officers and Assistants which includes carrying out face to face supervision, supervision in the community and annual appraisals and previous team management experience is essential. A good understanding of computer systems would also be useful as the role encompasses managing the recording of information for the Reablement Officers and Assistants and its service users, via the Cold Harbour system, training would be available as required.
