We have a vacancy for a Repairs Area Manager to join our small team, providing a responsive repairs service across Tower Hamlets Homes portfolio.

The Repairs Area Manager role is essentially two-fold – excellence in contract/performance management and direct staff management.

As Repairs Area Manager you will have experience of managing multiple concurrent complex multi-million pound contracts. Your experience of improving contract performance will be crucial.

You’ll be joining a highly demanding environment, which carries out over 55,000 responsive repairs and 10,000 statutory services each year. Our main objectives are to continue to improve on customer satisfaction and to further increase the number of repairs completed “right first time”. This relies on all parts of process working effectively.

You will be able to demonstrate evidence of managing staffing management of a multi-disciplinary team of professional and administrative staff, overseeing a range of administrative and inspection functions, as well as updating databases, providing reports and overseeing our contractors.

You will have first class customer services skills and hands-on experience in confidently resolving customer complaints, as well as an ability to build relationships quickly with internal and external stakeholders and customers to explain technical matters in non-technical language.

You’ll have great administrative skills and be able to work without supervision, deal with large volumes of work and demonstrating flexibility to accommodate changing and competing priorities. Finally, you will be confident in the use of repairs systems, databases, case handling systems and Microsoft Office suite including Excel. Responsive Repairs is high-pressured and challenging, but it is also extremely rewarding. Your competence and significant experience in Contract Management and Staffing Management as well as customer care skills will prove essential. Are you the person we are looking for?
