Working across all of Central London, Central London Forward has a role and remit that goes way beyond that of an ordinary local authority. So too does the level of challenge and opportunity we face. Central London Works is an ambitious new project in partnership with other boroughs. It gives us exciting scope to explore ways of creating opportunities for people with complex needs to work, and increasing employment among disadvantaged groups. Now, we’re looking for an experienced contract manager to play a leading role in the project’s success.
As our Senior Contract Manager, you will lead on performance, financial, and strategic development of the Central London Works contract. The contract value is up to £53m, co-funded by the DWP and European Social Fund. This is a high profile programme, and we will rely on you to implement our vision for it. The Head of Programmes will look to you for support in leading on implementation, performance and risk management, and partnership building. As well as taking responsibility for a small team of programme office staff, you will work closely with our employment provider to ensure the programme meets its objectives. Your broad remit will span everything from engaging and influencing, to managing and evaluating contractual performance.
An experienced Senior Contract Manager, you have strong contract management, leadership and management skills. We will expect you to demonstrate good knowledge of the economic development of deprived areas and mixed economy neighbourhoods. Experience of building new partnerships and developing existing partnerships in both Central and Local Government is essential. Equally important will be your experience in the development, management and delivery of employment focused projects featuring Payment by Results contracts. In managing publicly funded contracts, you have demonstrated strong project and performance management skills.
Please note, the Central London Works programme will launch in Spring 2018 and operate for an initial period of five years.
In return for your hard work and dedication, we’ll offer you a unique range of benefits that includes 24 days’ holiday, a subsidised staff restaurant, a season ticket loan and a variety of discounts on City services and local shops.
Closing date: 12 noon on Friday 16 March 2018
