Stroud District Council is a thriving, diverse district with a rich built and landscape heritage. It has excellent access to Bristol, Cheltenham, and Gloucester and is on a main railway line to London.
We are searching for passionate and enthusiastic individuals to fill two posts within our vibrant development management service.
The Council provides an impressive working environment in a converted listed textile mill, with an on-site restaurant and free car parking. A staff discount is also available at a gym situated opposite the Mill. As an organisation, we are committed to ensuring employees have a proper work/life balance and provide opportunities for remote working, as well as excellent opportunities for personal development and training.
For the role of Senior Enforcement Officer, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with enforcement experience. The successful candidate will form part of an experienced team investigating alleged breaches of planning control and will have excellent communication and people skills. The role involves the supervision of two enforcement officers as well as dealing with the more complex enforcement cases.
All the posts offer flexible working, contribution to the Local Government Pension Scheme, use of a pool car or casual car user allowance, training opportunities, supportive management and a robust and rewarding working environment.
Interested? Then please contact us and we will be happy to meet with you and show you the Council offices.
Alternatively, please call John Longmuir, Team Manager on 01453 754219 or Jamie Cooper, Principal Planner (Appeals and Enforcement) on 01453 754225 to discuss the Senior Enforcement Officer role.
