More about the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Development Management Team as a Senior Planning Officer. We will look to you for definitive advice, as will all stakeholders involved in the planning process. It's a chance to tackle complex planning applications and pre-application enquiries; lead negotiations in legal agreements; and act as an expert witness in planning hearings and inquiries. It is therefore vital that you have handled a wide range of planning applications before. A skilled professional, your knowledge covers Development Management ; statutory regulations; and Section 106 Agreements and similar. You will have a degree (or equivalent) in Town Planning. You will also be a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute with good political and commercial awareness.

You’ll combine your expertise with a gift for influencing others, have strong communication and customer care skills, together with a commitment to evidence-based decision-making.
