The post involves assessment, support planning and review, direct work with people who have a Learning Disability and or Autism as well as general case management duties.

We currently have an opportunity for a Service Delivery Officer within the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)&nbsp; which also supports the Referral and Assessment Team on a permanent part time basis of 22.5 hours per week. The hours required are 9-5 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
The role is rewarding, varied and fast paced; our main duties are to ensure that all referrals are processed and passed through to the MASH in a timely manner ensuring all statutory deadlines are met, the referrals can be made via email or phone and can come from all areas of the community from professionals and members of the public, these can be for Early Intervention support through to high risk child protection concerns.
As this team is the first point of contact for all areas of Children’s Services and the supports that are on offer, keys skills are required to include time management, flexibility, adaptability and attention to detail with good communication being the driving force behind why we can continue to provide a high level of support to an ever-expanding busy service.
We work closely with the MASH and Social Care teams ensuring we are available at often short notice to provide support for child protection meetings, with arranging and providing concise minutes within timescales, and general office administrative duties to include communication with families and professionals on case outcomes.
This is a hybrid position; office cover is required Monday to Friday on a rotational basis and the expectation is that at least 2 days per week are in the office with the remaining time working from home. The successful applicant will be expected to work mainly in the office for the first 2 weeks to familiarise themselves with work and the team.
We are looking for dynamic forward-thinking individual who is used to working to strict deadlines and performing under pressure as well as the ability to drive forward change and improve work processes.
Organisational and prioritisation skills are a must along with the ability to make decisions and deal with highly confidential information.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the statutory Children’s Services complaints and representations process across Social Care and SEND.
- Act as the primary point of contact for complaints, MP/Councillor enquiries, LGSCO investigations and complex customer issues.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory timescales and regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert guidance, training and leadership to teams around effective complaints handling and a culture of learning.
- Transform feedback into insight, driving improvements in policy, practice, systems and service culture.
- Develop and present key performance metrics to senior leaders.
- Work collaboratively with partners including the Local Offer Coordinator, SEND Voices, CAN Network and SENDIASS.
- Promote open, accessible engagement with families through community events, webinars and drop‑ins.
- Act as a SEND subject matter specialist.
- Supporting with identifying and celebrating compliments and good practice
Candidate requirements:
Essential:
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience in partnership working and stakeholder management.
- Track record of driving customer‑focused service improvements.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to analyse data and influence decision-making.
- Understanding of the SEND landscape and relevant legislation.
Desirable:
- Management qualification.
- Experience in large or political organisations.
- Experience benchmarking good practice in complaints.
