The Post
Brent&nbsp;Shared Lives provides an alternative to traditional types of care and support available to adults with a learning disability and autism. In Shared Lives, a person lives or stays with a Shared Lives carer within the local community. The Shared Lives carer provides the care and support in their own family home and as part of their own family and community network. The person would become part of the carer’s extended family and be supported by the Shared Lives carer to live the life they choose.
Brent Shared Lives supports people who rely on the help and support of others to maximise their potential and maintain their sense of independence. Brent shared lives scheme is a CQC (Care Quality Commission) registered service offering the opportunity for vulnerable adults to live in the community.&nbsp; The adult is “matched” with a carer who is recruited, assessed, trained, and supported by scheme officers.&nbsp;&nbsp;
The Deputy Team Manager will support the Team Manager (Registered Manager) during these transformative times with the growth and expansion of Brent Shared Lives as a lead commissioned service within the London Borough of Brent.&nbsp; The post holder will lead on the recruitment and selection of Shared Lives Carers in addition to supporting the team to match customers to suitably qualified and experienced Shared Lives Carers.&nbsp; The post holder will hold a small but complex case load of Shared Lives Carers and Customers and will undertake quarterly visits and other reviews to ensure that the scheme delivers a safe and person-centred care and support service for vulnerable adults in addition to ensuring that their agreed Care Act outcomes have been met.&nbsp;
The Person
The post holder will have significant knowledge, skills and experience at a management level of working in adult social care either in a statutory or a provider service setting.&nbsp; We are seeking someone who has excellent organisational skill combined with the ability to work on their own initiative and work to agreed deadlines.

Brent Shared Lives provides an alternative to traditional types of care and support available to adults with a learning disability and autism. In Shared Lives, a person lives or stays with a Shared Lives carer within the local community. The Shared Lives carer provides the care and support in their own family home and as part of their own family and community network. The person would become part of the carer’s extended family and be supported by the Shared Lives carer to live the life they choose.
Brent Shared Lives supports people who rely on the help and support of others to maximise their potential and maintain their sense of independence. Brent shared lives scheme is a CQC (Care Quality Commission) registered service offering the opportunity for vulnerable adults to live in the community.&nbsp; The adult is “matched” with a carer who is recruited, assessed, trained, and supported by scheme officers.&nbsp;&nbsp;
The post holder will support the Deputy Team Manager during these transformative times to assist with the growth and development of Brent Shared Lives as a lead commissioned service within the London Borough of Brent.&nbsp; The post holder will assist in the recruitment and selection of Shared Lives Carers in addition to supporting the team to match customers to suitably qualified and experienced Shared Lives Carers.&nbsp; The post holder will hold a case load of Shared Lives Carers and Customers and will undertake quarterly visits and other reviews to ensure that the scheme delivers a safe and person-centred care and support service for vulnerable adults in addition to ensuring that their agreed Care Act outcomes have been met.&nbsp;
The Person

We have a brand-new fantastic opportunity available for a Home Finding and Quality Assurance Manager to join our Children’s Services team here at Wokingham Borough Council, on a full time, permanent basis.
As the Home Finding and Quality Assurance Manager, you will lead the strategic sourcing and brokerage of placements for children we care for, care leavers and children with SEND, ensuring high-quality, value-for-money provision that meets individual needs. This includes a range of placement types such as residential care, independent fostering agency (IFA) placements, parent and child placements, supported accommodation, and specialist education settings for children with SEND.

Key responsibilities:

<li>Lead the sourcing and matching of placements for children we care for and care leavers, including emergency, short-term, and long-term options.</li>
<li>Oversee the identification and commissioning of independent and non-maintained special schools for children with SEND and Alternative Provision.</li>
<li>Build and maintain strong relationships with local and regional providers to maximise local placement options</li>
<li>Implement and maintain a robust quality assurance framework to monitor placement quality, outcomes, and compliance.</li>
<li>Lead the development and maintenance of a comprehensive contracts register for all placements and service contracts.</li>

Candidate requirements:

<li>Support service users by signposting them to different local and regional services, including the SEND Local Offer.</li>

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team in based in Ealing. We support adults experiencing loneliness, isolation, and mental health challenges and providing pathways, support, and appropriate interventions that will enable successful resettlements, and deliver to achieve safer, integrated communities for our stakeholders. Marron House has 18 bed spaces and we provide personalised support around daily living skills such as budgeting, shopping, cooking, reminders to take medication and developing a structured weekly routine.

We are looking for Deputy Team Manager Occupational Therapist for Brent’s Reablement Team which is&nbsp;an integrated service combining the fast-paced response to Pathway 1 Home First discharges and the delivery of reablement and social care services in a short term response team set up. The team’s ethos is about promoting and enabling independence and we have good working relationships with our partners and colleagues in the hubs and intermediate care.&nbsp;

Staff development and training for team members as an integral role in the retention and upskilling of the workforce in Adult Social Care.&nbsp;
The successful candidates will ideally have post graduate experience in Social Care and or Intermediate Care, have experience of supervising staff and or students in the work place and of working with Home Care providers and/or Reablement providers.
