Liaise with residents by regularly attending schemes, bi monthly resident meetings/ sheltered panel to promote effective older persons resident involvement. </li><li> Assist the Independent Living Officers with building inspections, identifying elements of maintenance required, report repairs and being proactive in implementing the required works. We here at Social Interest Group (SIG) are looking for a&nbsp;Senior Support Coach&nbsp;to join one of our frontline teams delivering vital services to people experiencing OPD and mental health issues. you’ll take a lead in supporting participants with OPD (Offending Personality Disorder) &nbsp;and related cognitive or behavioural challenges, many of whom have experienced institutional care or social exclusion.This is a great opportunity for someone ready to step up into a leadership role within a values-driven organisation that puts people first.
As a&nbsp;Senior Support Coach, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the service. You’ll support residents and participants to achieve their personal goals around recovery, reablement, and independent living. This will involve developing personalised support plans, conducting risk assessments, facilitating life skills sessions, and helping individuals access services, resources, and opportunities in their community. You will also be instrumental in creating a safe, inclusive, and psychologically informed environment (PIE) that promotes dignity, choice, and empowerment..
As a Senior, you’ll also act as a role model and mentor for your team, providing leadership when management are unavailable, supporting with guidance, reporting, and service delivery. You’ll help ensure services remain inclusive, flexible, and person-centred, in line with SIG’s Theory of Change.
Key Responsibilities Include:
<ul>
<li>Delivering effective 1:1 and group-based support for residents/participants in line with support plans</li>
<li>Providing leadership, mentoring, and guidance to support staff, students, and volunteers</li>
<li>Acting as the first point of contact in the absence of management</li>
<li>Supporting the completion of risk assessments, welfare checks, support plans, and safeguarding referrals</li>
<li>Helping develop a welcoming, safe, and psychologically informed environment</li>
<li>Maintaining up-to-date, accurate case records and ensuring compliance with GDPR and safeguarding practices</li>
<li>Supporting property management tasks including reporting repairs, monitoring health &amp; safety, and maintaining high accommodation standards</li>
<li>Supporting residents to access relevant networks, training, life skills, and community resources</li>
<li>Promoting resident participation in the design and running of service activities</li>
<li>Contributing to key service outcomes and KPIs</li>
<li>Working flexibly to meet the needs of the service and taking part in continuous improvement initiatives</li>
</ul>
About You
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about supporting vulnerable people and driven to make a difference. You’ll bring frontline experience in social care, supported housing, or community services — along with a commitment to person-centred, strengths-based support. You understand the importance of trauma-informed care and are ready to lead by example, both in your direct work with residents and in your support of colleagues across the team.

You’re able to manage competing priorities, respond calmly to crisis situations, and maintain professionalism under pressure.
