About the role
We are seeking a Dual Diagnosis Worker who has a specialism in complex mental health and substance misuse to join our team in Croydon. This is a residential service which provides specialist mental health, complex needs, and dual diagnosis support to our residents. You will utilise your previous experience and knowledge, and provide specialist support to those who have been diagnosed with mental ill health and have challenges with substance use. You will deliver evidence-based interventions based on holistic assessments to support personalised recovery, integration, and promotion of independent living skills.
Within this role, you will act as a specialist for comorbidity, supporting the team to achieve positive outcomes for our residents. Some of the duties may include:
<ul>
<li>Undertake joint holistic assessments, risk assessments, care plans, and interventions to support harm reduction and minimisation.</li>
<li>Set up realistic and flexible strengths-based support plans, working closely with colleagues and support teams to support and advise on interventions and approaches to meet individual needs.</li>
<li>Help reduce episodes of crisis and assist residents/participants to access services which can offer alternatives to crisis support.</li>
<li>Work closely with support staff and clinical teams to support and advise them on interventions and approaches to meet resident/participant comorbid, complex mental health and substance misuse needs.</li>
<li>Support multi-disciplinary teams and the wider community teams with support, advice, signposting, and move on care planning.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
About you
We’re looking for someone who has specialist knowledge on how to support individuals with comorbid and complex needs, with previous experience in a similar role. We look at individual characteristics to be able to show resilience, solve challenges, and be proactive in your approach. You will have a passion for supporting people to achieve their personal goals, and achieve positive outcomes, this includes having the ability to engage with people who may be hard to reach and engage with. We further are looking for someone who has:

<li>An appropriate qualification which is relevant to the role which could include: National Diploma, Bachelors, or master’s in psychology, Dual Diagnosis, Substance Misuse or any relevant</li>
<li>Previous experience in a similar role, providing holistic assessments and support for people experiencing mental health challenges</li>
<li>Applied knowledge of the principles of risk assessment and risk management, particularly in relation to harm minimisation.</li>
<li>A commitment to promoting recovery, harm reduction, and active involvement in care planning.</li>
<li>Ability to apply relapse prevention models to promote sustained recovery and harm reduction.</li>

Dual Diagnosis Worker

We are currently recruiting a part time Approved Mental Health Professionals to contribute to the delivery of our highly effective AMHP Team, based within Adult Social Care. The service is delivered using a strength based, personalised approach to assessments, ensuring the individual remains at the centre of all interventions. You will be required to act as an Approved Mental Health Professional providing a statutory Mental Health Act Assessment service, encompassing all client groups and including the provision of advice, in order to meet the immediate needs of the individuals involved and to achieve the best outcome. You will also need to provide precise information to service users and others about their rights in relation to MHA interventions and facilitate access to appropriate advocacy and advice networks including the IMHA and IMCA services.The successful candidates will be responsible for triaging referrals, allocation of assessments, undertaking Mental Health Act assessments and chairing the daily allocations meeting on a regular basis. This role will also involve undertaking the role of Social Supervisor for conditionally discharged patients to fulfil our statutory responsibility for clients who are subject to Part 3 of the Mental Health Act 1983 (as amended 2007). The successful applicant will also be responsible for the supervision and appraisal process of newly qualified AMHP’s in line with the statutory requirements, as well as the supervision and support of staff undertaking the AMHP training. You will need to maintain an awareness of changes in mental health theories, legislation, and Medway Council policies, local and agency practices, in order to disseminate knowledge and contribute to the delivery of a high standard AMHP service. Location:&nbsp;Face to face service based in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC), the service is a short walk from Ladbroke Grove (Circle and Hammersmith) station. Unfortunately, this service does not have step free access.

Shift Pattern:&nbsp;37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday on a rota basis between 09:00 - 17:00 and 13:00 - 21:00. You may be required to work bank holidays and evenings as required.
About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Mentor to join our team based in RBKC to support our residents who have multiple and complex needs which could include mental health, substance use, homelessness, and/or offending backgrounds. You will support in providing our residents with the support needed to help them overcome their personal barriers, and achieve their goals in a person centred approach. You will work within a residential setting, creating a safe and comfortable space which our residents can call their homes during their time within the service. The role includes:

You will be part of the team to provide intensive support to overcome their barriers to resettlement and progress towards independent living.&nbsp;
You will:

<li>Work to ensure safety and wellbeing of our residents.</li>
<li>Support mainly the night shifts to ensure the service runs smoothly at night, being a point of contact for residents, engaging with them to ensure their safety comes first, and running various evening activities for engagement.</li>
