About the role
As a Family Housing Management Officer, you will be based within a women's accommodation based service which supports homeless families in Luton. The service has 7 units of accommodation which supports:&nbsp;

<li>Expectant mothers</li>
<li>Mothers with up to two children under the age of 10</li>
<li>Single women aiming to have guardianship of their children</li>
</ul>
You will join the service which is designed to work with families to gain the valuable skills required to end the cycle of homelessness and enable future independently sustained living. &nbsp;Assistance can range from basic interventions and guidance around resettlement and gaining/sustaining independent living to more intense support in areas such as domestic violence, offending/ex offending, mental health, substance use, parenting skills, and safety in the home.&nbsp;
You will provide support in a flexible, individualised approach so that families can progress in a way that suits both parent and child’s needs whilst in a safe and stable environment. This can include through support sessions, projects and activities, signposting and general wellbeing support. You will support in wider areas which can include supporting with custody arrangements, mediation, supervised contact, and creating a safe space for families.&nbsp;
You may also be expected to support in our other services, one which is a residential for males, which can include lone working at times.&nbsp;

Assistant Support Worker - Grove Gardens Flats/StudiosWe currently have opportunities for part time (22.5 hours) and full time (37.5 hours) Assistant Support Workers at our scheme Grove Garden Flats in High Wycombe providing supported living for individuals with learning disabilities.This property is adjoined to Grove Gardens Studios and comprises of six one-bedroom flats and 8 studio flats. They are home to 14 male and female residents between the ages of 24 and 55, and the individuals living within the service attend a range of day services and community opportunities.What You will Do:As an Assistant Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping individuals live as independently as possible. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:<ul>
<li>Aid with the daily administration of medication</li>
<li>Supporting with personal care in a dignified and respectful way</li>
<li>Encouraging life skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and budgeting</li>
<li>Organise trips to local amenities</li>
<li>Promoting independence and helping residents achieve their personal goals</li>
<li>Following tailored support plans and risk assessments to ensure safety and wellbeing</li>
</ul>As an Assistant Support Worker you will;<ul>
<li>Provide appropriate support to service users who are living in their own homes or in a supported housing setting to enable them to support their aspirations and maximise their independence.</li>
