About the role
As a Deputy Service Manager, you will support the Service Manager in driving excellence in service delivery, being a point of contact for staff and ensuring they are empowered, skilled, knowledgeable within their roles and create a supportive environment where both staff and residents can thrive. Our residents in this service have experienced long term street homelessness and have faced significant challenges including with their mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency, and struggled to sustain engagement with support services.They are here to make positive changes and receive the support they need to achieve greater independence and progress in their recovery.
In this role, as a Deputy Service Manager, you will work within a 24 hour service which provided person centred support to our residents. Some key responsibilities include:

<li>Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service.</li>
<li>Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed.</li>

We are excited to advertise for one Residential Support Worker positions to join our committed and highly valued staff team.
The main role is to work as Residential Support Worker rostered rota that reflects the needs of the service, or as required by the Assistant Managers and Registered unit manager. To assist in the day to day running of the Unit, to provide a comprehensive range of services to children and young people with physical or learning disabilities and their families / carers with aim to offer and maximise life opportunities and experiences.
To follow practices that comply with policies and procedures set by the Department and Unit, including standards and requirements set by the Children Act 1989, Care Standards Act 2000, National Minimum Standards and Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
To work as part of a team to provide a high standard of care that meets the needs of children and young people being Looked After, or being provided short breaks services. To work within a framework which safeguards and promotes their well-being.
To follow an assessment framework that encompasses implementation of a care planning and risk assessment structure, which will consider all the physical, psychological, emotional, health, behavioural and independent or dependent needs of children and young people with a disability.
About The Team You’ll Be Working In
Westbrook Short Breaks and Resource Unit provide high quality short breaks and flexible support services through a range of measures, in order to support disabled children and young people to live within their family and community within the London Borough of Hounslow.
The Service aims to provide a safe nurturing environment for disabled children and young people, based on the premise that their needs and welfare are paramount and should be met on an individual basis.
Our over-arching ethos is to provide a service that recognises children’s rights, promotes opportunity, and provides stimulating, creative and varied environments which are conducive to promoting individual development and maximising quality of life and independence.

<li>Sound knowledge of the relevant Legislations in relation to working within a Children’s short break Unit; such as The Children’s Home Regulations 2015, The Children Act 1989, National Minimum Standards, Care Standards Act 2000 and Ofsted legislation.</li>
<li>An enhanced DBS is required for this role.</li>
</ul>

We are looking for Deputy Team Manager Occupational Therapist for Brent’s Reablement Team which is&nbsp;an integrated service combining the fast-paced response to Pathway 1 Home First discharges and the delivery of reablement and social care services in a short term response team set up. Staff development and training for team members as an integral role in the retention and upskilling of the workforce in Adult Social Care.&nbsp;
The successful candidates will ideally have post graduate experience in Social Care and or Intermediate Care, have experience of supervising staff and or students in the work place and of working with Home Care providers and/or Reablement providers.

About the role
Our residents in this service have experienced long term street homelessness and have faced significant challenges including with their mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency, and struggled to sustain engagement with support services. That's why they're here, to make a change and gain the support they need to enable greater independence and recovery.
In this role, as a Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provided person centred support to our residents. Some key responsibilities include:

<li>Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants.</li>
<li>Be a present member of the team on the night shift, completing handovers for day colleagues for a seamless service.</li>
<li>Building trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins.</li>
<li>Focusing on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals.&nbsp;</li>

About you

In this role, you'll:

You will work within a residential setting, creating a safe and comfortable space which our residents can call their homes during their time within the service. The role includes:

Job Title: Dual Diagnosis Worker
Location: Based within a residential service across 4 sites in Croydon. (Walking distance from East Croydon train and tram links). Unfortunately this service does not have step free access.
Salary: £29,000
Shift Pattern: 12 month fixed term contract, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday working between 10:00 - 18:00. Hours may vary depending on service needs.&nbsp;
About the role
We are seeking a Dual Diagnosis Worker who has a specialism in mental health and substance use to join our team in Croydon. You will be based within a residential service which provides specialist mental health, complex needs, and dual diagnosis support to our residents. Within this role, you will provide specialist knowledge and experience to support the wider team and residents to help them to overcome their personal barriers.
You will deliver evidence-based interventions based on holistic assessments to support personalised recovery, integration, and promotion of independent living skills. You will be a specialist in comorbidity, supporting the team to achieve positive outcomes for our residents. Some of your duties will include:
<ul>
<li>Undertake joint holistic assessments, risk assessments, care plans, and interventions to support harm reduction and minimisation.</li>
<li>Set up realistic and flexible strengths-based support plans, working closely with colleagues and support teams to support and advise on interventions and approaches to meet individual needs.</li>
<li>Help reduce episodes of crisis and assist residents/participants to access services which can offer alternatives to crisis support.</li>
<li>Work closely with support staff and clinical teams to support and advise them on interventions and approaches to meet resident/participant comorbid, complex mental health and substance misuse needs.</li>
<li>Support multi-disciplinary teams and the wider community teams with support, advice, signposting, and move on care planning.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
About you
We are looking for someone who has specialist knowledge on how to support individuals with comorbid and complex needs, with experience in interventions, and in a similar role. Qualifications are desirable if paired with practical experience which is relevant to this role. We look at individual characteristics with the ability to engage with various people who may not want to receive the support, able to build trusting professional relationships, and able to demonstrate resilience, solve challenges, and be proactive. <li>Full knowledge on comorbidity and complex needs, able to share knowledge, skills, and experience with others</li>
<li>Previous experience in a similar role, providing interventions and holistic assessments and support for people experiencing mental health challenges</li>
<li>Ability to provide specialist support and knowledge in risk assessment and risk management, particularly in relation to harm minimisation, substance misuse and mental health</li>
<li>A commitment to promoting recovery, harm reduction, and active involvement in care planning</li>
<li>Ability to apply relapse prevention models to promote sustained recovery and harm reduction</li>
