This is an exiting opportunity to join the Independent Travel Training Service. Travel trainers support adults and young people with disabilities and/or autism to travel confidently, safely and independently across the borough so they can access school, further education or day care settings.
The post holder will deliver training (1-1 &amp; small groups) and support trainees travelling on public transport. They will work closely with parents, carers and support networks, undertake risk assessments to maintain trainee safety and use effective action planning and assessments to achieve independent travel for their caseload.
We have two part time posts available, each working 25 hours per week, Monday - Friday across the borough.&nbsp; As the role involves supporting adults and young people to travel to school, college or day care settings you need to be able to work flexibly, including early mornings and/or late afternoons. Travel trainers support young people and adults to travel safely on public transport independently.&nbsp; You will be working with the trainee and their support network to plan and deliver a bespoke travel training programme. A key aspect of the role is working in partnership with the police and other agencies to identify and respond to threats and risks in the community. This includes supporting intelligence gathering, mapping activity, and attending multi-agency forums to ensure timely action and joined-up working.
The role will require flexibility, including the ability to work some evenings and weekends to meet the needs of children and families.

<li>We are looking for two experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join us on the transformation journey we are on, to support the development and delivery of this new NRPF (No Recourse to Public Funds) pathway team. The team will work to support vulnerable persons to link them into the support they need / are entitled to, enabling them to live in safe cohesive communities; understand their rights and responsibilities; benefit from well-functioning services and have the opportunity to contribute their voice to shaping and delivering such services</li>
<li>As a Pathway Caseworker, you will bring to the role demonstrable experience of delivering with a trauma informed approach which meets the specific needs of people with NRPF.&nbsp;You will lead on the development and delivery of a high-quality service which identifies and assesses need, provides support where required and locates timely pathways to independent living</li>

Personal Advisors play a key role supporting young people with their transition to adulthood and assists them to live an independent life in their community.
Personal Advisors befriend and maintain positive relationships with young people to support them to prepare for adulthood; working proactively with partner agencies to assess individual needs, seek positive outcomes in line with our joint corporate parenting responsibilities.
