We currently have an opportunity for a Service Delivery Officer within the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)&nbsp; which also supports the Referral and Assessment Team on a permanent part time basis of 22.5 hours per week. The hours required are 9-5 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
The role is rewarding, varied and fast paced; our main duties are to ensure that all referrals are processed and passed through to the MASH in a timely manner ensuring all statutory deadlines are met, the referrals can be made via email or phone and can come from all areas of the community from professionals and members of the public, these can be for Early Intervention support through to high risk child protection concerns.
As this team is the first point of contact for all areas of Children’s Services and the supports that are on offer, keys skills are required to include time management, flexibility, adaptability and attention to detail with good communication being the driving force behind why we can continue to provide a high level of support to an ever-expanding busy service.
We work closely with the MASH and Social Care teams ensuring we are available at often short notice to provide support for child protection meetings, with arranging and providing concise minutes within timescales, and general office administrative duties to include communication with families and professionals on case outcomes.
This is a hybrid position; office cover is required Monday to Friday on a rotational basis and the expectation is that at least 2 days per week are in the office with the remaining time working from home. The successful applicant will be expected to work mainly in the office for the first 2 weeks to familiarise themselves with work and the team.
We are looking for dynamic forward-thinking individual who is used to working to strict deadlines and performing under pressure as well as the ability to drive forward change and improve work processes.
Organisational and prioritisation skills are a must along with the ability to make decisions and deal with highly confidential information.

The Berkshire Emergency Duty Service (hosted by Bracknell Forest Council) is a unique service providing out of hours emergency social care for the whole of Berkshire. Our dedicated out of hours social care provision helps us to protect some of our most vulnerable residents.&nbsp; We are a specialist team of Approved Mental Health Professionals, Senior Social Workers (Children), Adult Safeguarding Care Coordinators and Call Screening Officers.

The Emergency Duty Service (EDS) is already recognised as a safe, effective service, safeguarding children and vulnerable adults across Berkshire, with positive feedback from both Ofsted and the CQC. <h3>Key responsibilities...</h3>
As an Adult Safeguarding Care Coordinator you will:

<li>provide an emergency service for assessment and action for vulnerable adults referred as being in need of care, at immediate risk or in need of housing. This will predominantly be by telephone but, when appropriate, may require visits to service users.</li>
<li>provide expert advice and quality intervention, based on a sound knowledge of legislation to referrers such as service users, their families, members of the public, social care/health staff, Police or other external agencies.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>assess eligibility and take action on cases of emergency homelessness arising out of hours as per the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.</li>

<li>Awareness of the impact of ill health, disability, social disadvantage, and poverty has on and individuals’ wellbeing</li>
