Shared Lives Carers are self-employed and are responsible for their own Tax &amp; National Insurance, although they can access the Shared Lives Tax relief when they are registered with a Shared Lives Scheme.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Payment ranges for the different types of care are as follows:
<ul>
<li><a>Long-term range from £254.59-£479.07 per week (paid every 28 days)</a></li>
<li>Respite range from £60.62-£72.74 per day (paid weekly)</li>
<li>Day support&nbsp; £51.75 per day.</li>
</ul>

<h2>About the role</h2>
The Shared Lives Scheme involves a Shared Lives Carer sharing their home and their family (and community) life with an adult who has care &amp; support needs. These needs may include adults with Learning Disability; adults with Dementia; younger adults with complex and or behavioural needs.&nbsp;&nbsp;
For Carers it provides a flexible, interesting role with a fantastic work life balance, free training, working as a self-employed professional with support from the West Northants Shared Lives scheme.

All kinds of people can become Shared Lives carers- you don’t need to have any specific experience or training in care already, you will just have a genuine passion for caring for and supporting people.
