OFSTED described Enfield social work teams as highly motivated with manageable caseloads, allowing time for workers to get to know children and protect them effectively. Managers were complimented with being highly ambitious and having a clear and enduring determination to provide high quality services for children. Enfield has a highly effective workforce strategy in place and evidence of strong partnership working and strategic leadership. The Social Work Teams are a vibrant, resourceful and innovative offering social workers a chance to develop core skills in this demanding but rewarding field. We need candidates able to reflect and who understand risk and can manage this in relation to their work. OFSTED described our social workers as carrying out ‘dazzling direct work with children’. We offer excellent support and supervision including group and individual supervision. There is room for personal development and we will consider newly qualified staff. Enfield offers an excellent ASYE programme with mentoring and training. The Teams are staffed with a Team Manager, Advanced Practitioner and up to 5 social workers. The teams work in a supportive environment and all social workers have regular individual as well as group supervision.
