We are looking for an experienced Benefits and Local Council Tax Support&nbsp;assessment officer to join our team.
We are transitioning from a Case/Specialist operating model to a more conventional structure.&nbsp; The successful candidate will be a valued member of our new team.
You will help financially vulnerable residents, whilst ensuring fraud and error is minimised.&nbsp; Maximising the money available to help those who need help from public funds.
This role could be for you if you meet the following essential requirements:
Knowledge and Experience

<li>A minimum of 1 years’ experience in new claims processing and change of circumstances</li>
<li>Current knowledge of benefits legislation and regulations, as a result of working in benefits within the last 24 months</li>
<li>Well evidenced experience of providing good customer service</li>
<li>Demonstrable knowledge of relevant legislation.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Proven experience of working under pressure, whilst staying calm and keeping accuracy</li>

We’re looking for Senior Registered Building Inspectors to take on a pivotal role within our Planning &amp; Building Standards service. In this important position, you’ll act in a senior capacity within our Building Control team, providing a comprehensive range of professional services for a designated area both within and beyond the Borough of Haringey.
As well as plan checking and carrying out site inspections, the roll also includes mentoring and supervising the junior staff members, handling validations, and taking the lead on the determination of the more complex Building regulations applications. You will also be responsible for enforcement activities and dangerous structures inspections, both during the working day and as part of a rota for out of hours inspections.
Haringey Building Control are also responsible for safety at Sports Grounds in the Borough, and offer technical safety advise and inspections for other Licensed events in the Borough. Part of the role will also include assisting the BSR with applications on high risk buildings and ensuring that their KPIs are met. The GLA Transport Team is seeking an outstanding candidate to fill a vacancy left by an internal secondment. This is a part-time role of 18.5hrs and we are open to discussing how these hours are managed through the week for the suitable candidate and to meet the needs of the need. &nbsp;
Working in a busy team, you will act as a first point of contact for enquiries to the team, both internally and externally, including from senior officers and politicians, and respond promptly to requests. You’ll be a highly experienced professional with an extensive background in M&amp;E services, specifically in the installation, maintenance, and day-to-day management of relevant systems. A clear understanding of current laws, regulations, and statutory instruments related to consumer protection and Health and Safety is essential. You’ll ideally have extensive relevant work experience or HNC in Building Services Engineering (or equivalent) or be actively working towards this qualification.
We’re looking for someone with proven staff management and contract management skills, including the ability to confidently lead technical officers, external consultants, and contractors within a performance-driven culture. Over the last two years, our Housing Service digital transformation programme has brought in a number of exciting new developments that are enhancing the way our teams work and how residents access our services. &nbsp; As our Lead Developer, you will be a manager in a small team with a significant impact in shaping the future of digital housing services. As part of the Housing Systems Team, you’ll work across a range of departments and services, collaborating with colleagues and partners to design and deliver efficient solutions. Your work will directly influence how we serve our residents, improving both internal processes and customer experience. This role requires advanced knowledge of housing management systems such as NEC Housing, NEC Document Management system, MRI Jigsaw along with strong skills in SQL. You’ll be responsible for translating complex business processes into technical deliverables, managing multiple projects and guiding teams to deliver high quality services that support housing operations and tenant experience improvements. You’ll work within a policy and regulatory framework, applying best practices in system development while exercising professional judgement on sensitive data and stakeholder needs (internal and external). The role involves planning and coordinating your own work and that of others, offering specialist advice and developing solutions to monitor and improve performance across high profile statutory services. You’ll be expected to manage competing prioritise, provide accurate project estimates and ensure quality assurance through testing and validation of system development. This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical language and influence a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll be accountable for the secure use of sensitive data, resources and expected to use creativity and initiative to solve complex issues in a dynamic and sometimes unpredictable environment.
