Job Title: Residential Support Worker
Location: Lintons Close

No previous experience or qualifications are needed for this role but an ability to focus on the needs of individuals.

Lintons Close needs enthusiastic and resilient staff to work in their Supported Living Unit in Hoddesdon. On any given day, there are a large number of complex and vulnerable

Adults with Learning Difficulties who require support to work towards independency. Achieving this requires talented staff with a blend of skills.

As a Support Worker you will be working to implement support plans for Adults with disabilities which enable the person to live as independently as possible in the community.

You must be able to work shifts, every other weekend, sleepins and some bank holidays.

You must be comfortable in supporting Adults with:

  • Personal care
  • Daily living skills
  • Shopping
  • Planning meals
  • Cooking
  • Finances
  • Paperwork
  • Attending medical appointments
  • Or just listening

The successful candidates will be competent using basic computer systems to organise and record information clearly and accurately or be able to attend training in computer skills.

Herts County Council offers you the opportunity to carry out the Care Certificate and to obtain a QCF level 2 Qualification along with the opportunity to develop your skills.

You will also work as part of a team and have good written and verbal communications skills. We provide both regular and ad hoc supervision as well as the opportunity to undertake joint working with other professionals.
