This post would be suitable for an ambitious and effective experienced or newly qualified teacher wishing to broaden their experience and work in a supportive, dynamic department, striving to raise standards through developing outstanding learning and teaching, across all key stages including Sixth Form.
You will need to have enthusiasm, commitment, a creative passion and excellent organisational skills. You will be a key part of the exciting journey of this department in meeting the current and future needs of our students.
The staff in the Science Department are diverse, dynamic and are all committed to taking the subject forward and making it even more successful. They are dedicated to shaping their teaching to how our students learn best. They are also supportive of each other and work collaboratively.
The department is well-resourced and each member of staff has their own teaching room and desktop PC. Focused and tailored CPD is integral to the school’s development plan and all colleagues are encouraged and supported to develop their pedagogical skills through action research and collaborative work.
