Primary and Secondary Pupil Referral Units within West Berkshire
iCollege is a new Pupil Referral Unit formed with the merger of The Reintegration Service and Alternative Curriculum 14-19. iCollege provides education and support for students across all Key Stages who may have been excluded, or are at risk of exclusion and might also have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Permanent and Fixed Term Contracts available
Grade C, SCP 10-15
(43.8 weeks salary – 38 teaching weeks, 5.8 weeks paid holiday, Occasional Inset Days may be worked, paid on timesheet)
Teaching Assistant posts to work over all sites but specifically at:
Primary – Inspiration, Foxglove Way, Dunstan Park, Thatcham, Berks RG18 4DH
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
2 posts 9.00 am – 2.00pm and 10.00 – 3.00 pm
Year 9 and 10 – Intervention, 88 Newtown Road, Newbury, Berks RG14 7BT
Hours to be agreed

Working with teaching staff to support pupils either individually or in small groups during lessons and other times.
Applicants need to be enthusiastic, flexible, practical and resourceful as well as being able to support pupils who can sometimes become angry or distressed. Applicants may find that recent mainstream experience of working with challenging students in KS1 – KS4 an advantage.
All contracts will state employment for icollege alternative education and not a specific site, and post holders may be asked to move between sites, to meet student needs.
