About the Role
Are you passionate about empowering young people with learning disabilities to achieve their full potential? We are looking for a dedicated Lecturer to join our team and deliver high-quality education within our discrete supported learning provision.&nbsp; We welcome applications from individuals who are organised, proactive and highly motivated to work with this group of learners and manage support staff.
In this role, you will:&nbsp; 
- Teach and be personal tutor to groups of students with learning disabilities, helping them develop essential skills in employability, functional maths, and English at Entry Level.&nbsp;
- Plan and deliver structured, engaging, and individualized educational programmes tailored to diverse learning needs.&nbsp;
- Work collaboratively as part of a multi-agency team to ensure a responsive and supportive learning environment.&nbsp;
- Provide high-standard teaching that challenges and inspires students, aligning with awarding body requirements and meeting internal moderation standards.
- Lead and deliver engaging, person-centred programmes for young people with profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex needs.
- You will design and deliver sessions that integrate physiotherapy, intensive interaction, and sensory activities, while also supporting students’ physical well-being and personal development.
- This role requires creativity, teamwork, and a strong commitment to inclusion. Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster a supportive and responsive learning environment are essential.&nbsp;

The successful applicant will coordinate the effective delivery of the Plumbing study programmes across various levels providing academic leadership for students, creating a curriculum that is engaging, relevant and coherent and in line with local and national priorities. As a Lecturer in Plumbing, you will develop and maintain up to date industry knowledge, bringing in industry professionals, where possible, that are relevant to the curriculum and the employability and skills needs of students. You will support and motivate learners to meet their individual aspiration and goals and will coordinate the tracking of learners’ achievements. In your role you will lead study programmes to attain outstanding achievement and student retention and progression.
You will have sound organisational skills,&nbsp;your ability to work cooperatively and contribute positively and creatively to a team is also essential.&nbsp;
We welcome candidates with industry experience, and you will have the opportunity to work towards a teaching qualification.
