About You
The successful candidates must have a Level 3 Electrical Installations qualification or above. Candidates will have a firm understanding of current electrical installation standards and preferably have some industry experience.
They should also know how to create an exciting curriculum for learners to find engaging, relevant and coherent. Candidates need to keep their skills and knowledge in line with local and national priorities.
The Electrical Installations Lecturer will have (Essential / Desirable):

<li>Level 2 Mathematics and English qualifications (E)</li>
<li>Assessor and Verifier qualifications (D)</li>
<li>Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above (D)</li>

<li>Experience of motivating, developing and managing the performance of learners (D)</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively with key senior stakeholders, manage your workload effectively in a challenging environment and build positive internal and external relationships with learners, colleagues and stakeholders (D)</li>

As an Electrical Installations Lecturer, you will develop and maintain up to date industry knowledge, bringing in industry professionals, where possible, that are relevant to the curriculum adding to the employability and skills needs of students. You will support and motivate learners to meet their individual aspiration and goals, which will consist of not only their main vocational qualification, but also attendance to Maths and English if required. You will also coordinate the progression and tracking of learners’ achievements. In your role you will lead study programmes to attain outstanding achievement and student retention and progression.
You will have sound organisational skills,&nbsp;your ability to work cooperatively and contribute positively and creatively to a team is also essential.&nbsp;
We welcome candidates with industry experience, and you will have the opportunity to work towards a teaching qualification. The role will require you to&nbsp;work towards a recognised Level 4 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or be willing to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification upon appointment.&nbsp;

About You
The Industry Skills Tutor will manage a caseload of apprentices by monitoring attendance, progression, achievement and completion, organising pastoral support as required and by working with all parties involved to resolve any issues that may affect successful completion of the programmes. We are looking for a candidate with experience within Carpentry industry. The Industry Skills Tutor will coordinate achievement of all aspects of apprenticeship standards or frameworks, to include quality assurance where appropriate, ensuring learners achieve on time, and in-line with college targets. The successful applicants will develop individual action plans including the setting of smart targets tailored to meet apprentices’ needs while maintaining accurate records in line with the College requirements.
The Industry Skills Tutor will;

<li>Hold a relevant vocational qualification at or above level 3 and hold an Assessor award and IQA award</li>
<li>Have relevant up-to-date industrial/subject knowledge and a knowledge of the Carpentry industry and employment opportunities</li>
<li>Have a knowledge of Ofsted and apprenticeship and AEB funding</li>
<li>Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written</li>
<li>Have excellent organisational and administrative skills and be able to manage and organise priorities, working as part of a team to ensure quality of provision and timely and overall successful outcomes.</li>
<li>Commitment to and enthusiasm for delivering an excellent customer service demonstrating problem-solving attributes for apprentices, employers and other key stakeholders</li>
