We are looking for someone to lead our vibrant and dynamic team. &nbsp;Adult and Community Learning is part of the Living Well Rutland service, alongside Libraries and Health &amp; Community Wellbeing. The three areas weave together, taking learning and more to communities.
About you… You are an engaging leader, passionate about education and creating better outcomes for learners. Especially those who experience barriers to learning.&nbsp; • &nbsp; &nbsp;Educated to degree level or equivalent education sector experience&nbsp; • &nbsp; &nbsp;Experienced in managing and motivating a team to deliver an effective and innovative service that reaches those that need it the most • &nbsp; &nbsp;Knowledge of education policies, frameworks and development strategies and how these fit within Local Authority statutory duties
About the role…… Within this diverse and interesting role the post holder will: • &nbsp; &nbsp;Provide leadership to our adult education provision and will be key in working with colleagues, including those in Adult Social Care, to develop a varied learning offer • &nbsp; &nbsp;Work closely with the Living Well Rutland Service Manager to drive innovations that will have a real impact on opportunities to learn in locations close to home.&nbsp;
Through a programme that will include informal events, short courses, family learning and accredited qualifications, learners will experience success and the joy of lifelong learning.
The successful applicant for this post will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The costs for the DBS are paid by us.
Adult and Community learning Team leader interviews will be held face to face on 12 November 2025. &nbsp;Please be advised this could be subject to change, in which case we will give appropriate notice.
