About The Opportunity
We are improving our response to children who are at risk of Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) and go Missing.
You will manage a team of CSE Coordinators who work closely and in collaboration with co-ordinators from the Health and West Midlands Police; are co-located in the same team; and specialise in the prevention and reduction of danger to children and young people who are at risk of Child Sexual Exploitation or go missing.
This team is pivotal to our organisation and supports social workers who respond to children who may be vulnerable or at risk.
Working with the Police and Health Service representatives, you will carry out the day-to-day management of the CSE Co-ordinators. You will play a crucial role, supporting and advising staff at all levels; interpreting and communicating feedback data and providing an important, positive interface for the practitioners, in a multi-agency environment.
You will support colleagues with their understanding of a Victim’s profile; and how to identify people who may be a risk. You will play a vital role, both individually as well as leading the team in raising the awareness of professionals and communities about Child Sexual Exploitation and how to combat it. More broadly, you will be required to play a key role in planning and implementing service development and improvements to meet local and national priorities.
You must have experience of managing a team coupled with experience of working with CSE and Missing; understand the relevant legislation, the importance of early help and child protection practice and processes.
You must be able to play a key role in planning and improving services for children who are vulnerable to CSE and Missing and should be passionate about maximising a child’s life chances.
You will carry out the day-to-day management, development and delivery of a multi-agency child sexual exploitation (CSE) and Missing Persons team; which consists of CSE and Missing coordinators, the police, and health.
