Trainee Member Services Officer

37 hours per week

We are looking to recruit a talented and enthusiastic individual to assist the Member Services Team in supporting the democratic processes of the Council. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and be self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills. This a career graded post within the team servicing the Council, its Committees and the Cabinet, which together with other meetings will require you having/gaining knowledge of the relevant local government law and the ability to write with clarity and precision. You will be expected to acquire an understanding of the Council’s constitution and associated protocols and advise on such matters at an appropriate level. You will need to work to tight deadlines in preparing agenda, minutes and other documents. Assistance with the Elections Team will also be required at key times.
