Here in Finance, we aim to provide an efficient and responsive service to the whole of the Council to ensure our resources are managed effectively. We provide financial advice to support the delivery of the Council’s objectives while co-ordinating medium-term financial planning and the annual budget process, including the capital programme. It’s an excellent environment in which you can develop your skills and experience.

You will ensure that data is processed promptly and with good attention to detail so we have accurate and up to date financial records. This will include recording payment and income information to our financial system so budgets can be monitored closely and resources managed appropriately. This varied role will see you scanning and processing invoices received using OCR software, processing cheques and assisting colleagues with queries and in completing documents.

A positive and professional team player, you will have experience of high volume transaction processing including data input within banking or financial services. An excellent communicator, you will have the ability to engage with customers and colleagues effectively face to face and in writing. Your flexible approach to your challenging workload will make you stand out.
