Dealing with other border agencies, importers, shipping agents and inland Trading Standards authorities you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with an enquiring mind, have an attention to detail and an ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.</p>\n<p>The posts are 12-month contracts funded by the OPSS and we are firmly committed to obtaining further  funding beyond the 12 months. As they are temporary posts the successful candidate would need to be capable of contributing quickly, without the need for extensive training or support. Therefore, experience in Trading Standards or dealing with product safety or border controls is highly desirable. Previous applicants are thanked for their interest but need not apply.
