Due to a period of exciting change and internal promotions, we have a number of vacancies across our Planning service!

The role

Camden is looking to recruit qualified and experienced Tree & Landscape Officers within its Development Management Service taking personal responsibility for dealing with TPO and conservation area notifications, planning applications consultations and pre applications and appeals as required. With excellent communication skills you’ll assume responsibility for effective negotiation, stakeholder involvement and conflict resolution to ensure high quality and innovative outcomes that reflect council wide objectives and policies.

You’ll be part of a forward thinking and dynamic team ensuring the provision of a responsive, high performing and high quality service to customers.

About you

You’ll hold a level 3 arboricultural qualification, be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in arboriculture and landscaping With expertise in dealing with a demanding caseload of tree applications, planning application consultations and meeting deadlines, you’ll have the ability to read complex plans and write succinct, accurate reports. You will have a proven track record of working within development management in a local authority environment with thorough awareness of current good practise in arboriculture and landscaping.

With excellent communication and customer care skills, you’ll work as part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting residents through delivering high quality effective services.
