Our Highways team aims to provide a high quality road network for the region. By ensuring our highways are safe for the public, we help make Central Bedfordshire a great place to work and live. As a Tree Officer you’ll make a big contribution. You’ll manage the tree management and maintenance service, preparing and managing work programmes to ensure that we fulfil our statutory duties and responsibilities.

Across Central Bedfordshire, thousands of residents, businesses and visitors use our roads every day. You’ll make sure they get a good experience, whether they’re walking, driving or cycling. You’ll conduct site surveys/investigations, determine required works, raise task orders and supervise the works. You build good working relationships, drawing on strong communication skills. You also ensure Health & Safety is paramount at all times. With a LANTRA Professional Tree Inspection qualification and a good level of numeracy and literacy, you’ll be IT-literate and a natural problem solver.
