You will have a proven ability to build, lead and grow product practice and capability, coaching others and sharing expertise as a high-performing product manager. </p><p>With a strong track record of successful service design, from concept through to implementation, you will ensure user needs are met, and products are effectively integrated and adopted. Proficient in developing business cases based on user needs, you can articulate measurable benefits and track delivery against strategic outcomes. Experience of working across organisational boundaries, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders to build credibility, influence and alignment is essential.</p><p>Where an individual taking up the responsibility will be based in Swansea Office, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable. </p><p>HMLR believe that a blended approach to where you work that enables some time working from home, as well as in the office may give you an improved experience and has clear business benefits. <p>The Environmental Services team are seeking a committed, enthusiastic individual with excellent administrative skills and an eagerness to learn.</p>
<p>The post is a senior role which reports directly to the Waste Operations Manager. You will primarily work in the waste elements of the Environmental Services function including domestic and trade waste.&nbsp; However, you will work alongside the senior officer for grounds maintenance, street cleansing and environmental crime.</p>
<p>You will play an integral part in delivering several exciting projects within the Environmental Services department including the implementation of a new waste strategy.</p>
<p>You will be required to undertake various site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with service level agreements, terms &amp; conditions and monitor contractor performance.</p>
<p>An essential part of your job will be to build strong relationships with our contractor, other external partners and internal colleagues, so you must be an excellent and confident communicator, ensuring others trust your professional judgement and advice.</p>
<p>The role will involve a lot of customer interaction, acting as the first point of contact for the Environmental Services team. A commitment to a high level of customer care is essential, as well as attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.</p>
<p>You will play an active role in a multi-skilled and motivated team, and there will be plenty of opportunities to develop your skills, progress your career and contribute to the direction of the service.</p>
<p>You will also be able to demonstrate negotiation skills; enthusiasm; self-motivation; sound judgement; a proactive approach to problem solving and tackling challenges; excellent organisational skills; and an ability to identify and act on opportunities to improve service delivery.</p>
<p>At times, you may need to make difficult decisions when the Waste Operations Manager is unavailable. A strong understanding of environmental laws and regulations is essential for success in this role.</p>
<p>With guidance from the Waste Operations Manager, you will oversee new apprentices in the Environmental Services team, ensuring their growth and success throughout their development and college journey.</p>
