The Family Safeguarding Team is a stable and established multi-agency group of talented professionals who work collaboratively with specialist practitioners in domestic abuse, mental health and substance misuse as part of our embedded family safeguarding approach. Dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families, the team strives to keep families together whenever it is safe to do so. With a strong focus on providing both high support and high challenge, the team enables you to deliver your best to the families who need it most.
The team focuses on longer term intervention, following transfer from our front door we undertake statutory social work interventions, including child in need, child protection, CLA and court proceedings.

Estates Team Leader (P01506) £55,051 to £58,445 inclusive of outer fringe allowance per annum 37 hours per week (hybrid) Reporting to the Assistant Director (Regeneration and Economic Development) and forming an integral part of the Council’s Regeneration and Economic Development Team, your role will be to manage the Council’s Estates Team. The Council’s commercial property portfolio comprises a range of neighbourhood and town centre retail units, industrial estates, offices and community assets and generates an income of £5.5 Million per annum. In addition to managing this portfolio, with a view to maximising occupancy and revenue income, the Estates Team are also responsible for negotiating covenant releases, disposals, acquisitions, freehold reversions and leasehold extensions and for providing landlord and tenant advice to various internal departments. You will need to have a strong Landlord and Tenant background and significant commercial valuation experience as well as knowledge on all relevant areas of legislation, in particular the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954. OPDC is one of only two of the Mayor of London’s Development Corporations and spans three London boroughs, the Park Royal industrial estate and is home to the new High Speed 2 and Elizabeth line station, the only place where these two major new rail lines meet.&nbsp;OPDC is leading the planning and regeneration of this emerging new district with the potential to deliver many thousands of new homes and jobs over the coming years.

About the role
OPDC has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our Planning Team as a Construction Monitoring Manager on a permanent contract. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Planning Enforcement and Compliance as a senior member of the team and will initially assist with the development of OPDC’s Code of Construction Practice alongside appointed consultants.&nbsp; This is a unique opportunity to shape how construction and development will be managed and monitored in one of London’s largest regeneration areas and ensure that resident’s amenity is protected while enabling the growth and delivering the homes and jobs in OPDC’s Local Plan. The successful candidate will also work with borough colleagues to bring forward a statistical information package to allow comprehensive tracking of key indicators for construction management within OPDC’s areas.&nbsp;
What your day will look like
The successful candidate will lead on a range of construction management issues in the planning process, from pre-application to condition stage, including as assessment of site sensitivity and ensuring that timely engagement with the host borough, stakeholders is integrated into planning decisions.&nbsp;&nbsp; The role also involves the undertaking comprehensive inspections of live sites with borough colleagues to assess construction practice against relevant policy and guidance.&nbsp;
Skills, knowledge and experience
To be considered for the role you must meet the following essential criteria:
Appropriate qualification in construction management and eligibility for membership of the Construction Industry Training Board (CIOB) together with a record of continuing professional development.
Demonstrable experience of construction management and monitoring preferably in a local authority setting.
Good understanding of the working environment of a local planning authority and Mayoral Development Corporation (MDC).&nbsp;
An understanding of the local, regional and national planning policy context and legislative framework, and construction monitoring standards and guidance.&nbsp;
Excellent IT skills and the ability to track and monitor construction impacts.&nbsp;

What your day will look like

Are you ready to run marketing campaigns for the Mayor of London and the Greater London Authority?
We’re looking for an experienced senior marketer or campaign manager to join our team at City Hall, to lead marketing that ensures all Londoners are aware of the Mayor of London and Greater London Authority’s (GLA) work and how to participate in their city.
As a Senior Campaign Lead, you’ll plan and manage your own campaigns. The team leads on a range of exciting and important campaigns for the city, working to make London greener, safer, fairer and more prosperous. You’ll lead on campaigns tackling priority issues for Londoners such as ‘Have a Word’ to tackle misogyny and prevent violence against women and girls, air quality, housing and homelessness, or campaigns which celebrate London’s diversity and culture, and drive economic recovery, such as ‘Love London’.
We’re looking for an all-round marketing campaign manager - you’ll be skilled at running integrated, public-facing campaigns using the full channel mix and developing insight-driven strategies. Experience working with agencies (creative, media, public relations and research) is desired, and you should be confident managing projects across teams and dealing with senior stakeholders, external partners and sponsors. The role requires you to manage a Marketing Officer so line management experience is useful.

<h2>What your day will look like</h2>

The scope of work will vary in size from small short-term projects to longer term strategic initiatives.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Take a rigorous approach to campaign planning and management, ensuring that objectives are clearly defined, and appropriate performance management processes are in place, propositions are based on consumer behaviour and need, appropriate channel strategies, online and offline are defined and effective project management processes are in place throughout the entire campaign lifecycle to deliver campaigns to time and budget.</li>
<li>Through thorough research and analysis of consumer behaviour, and the communications landscape, ensure that all campaign assets are appropriate for the audiences that we are trying to reach and that we champion the consumer in all our work. This will involve generating, editing and proofing copy as appropriate on offline and online channels.</li>
<li>Contribute to the Marketing evaluation programme - reporting on marketing performance on a short and long term, and the effectiveness of social, email and visual channels.</li>
<li>Act as an effective account manager, working closely with the policy and event teams to integrate the work of the Marketing and Communications team into the planning activities of the policy areas, liaising with policy officers, Heads of Unit, Press Officers and Assembly Members, as appropriate.</li>
<li>Take responsibility for working with policy teams to forward plan work and understand future needs. Advise internal clients and stakeholders on marketing and communication related issues.</li>
<li>Work closely with the Deputy Head and wider Marketing Campaigns team, Digital Communications, Press Web and Creative Services Teams to ensure that the Marketing team works efficiently and effectively across all disciplines.</li>

This role involves leading on project management of the delivery of two major initiatives: the Holborn Liveable Neighbourhood programme and the Better, Safer Kilburn scheme.&nbsp;
The Holborn LN programme (HLN) is an ambitious £55m project that will transform the area into safe, healthy, accessible streets and climate-resilient streets, while enhancing public spaces and supporting local businesses and attractions such as the British Museum. The HLN is currently in feasibility stage and we are gearing up for a public consultation in Summer 2026.
The Better, Safer Kilburn scheme is a £12m project to make the town centre a safer and more attractive place to visit, improve air quality, encourage walking and cycling, and create a more pleasant and welcoming town centre. Working with neighbouring Boroughs Brent and Westminster, the scheme has been approved for delivery following consultation and is gearing up to implementation phases.&nbsp;
As a Principal Transport Planner, you will project manage and oversee the design, consultation, and implementation phases of Healthy Streets schemes within these programmes. You will coordinate with internal departments and external partners, including Transport for London, to ensure successful delivery. Your role will also involve conducting community engagement and consultation, ensuring inclusivity and effective outcomes, and contributing to strategic initiatives such as urban greening and high street renewal. You will prepare high-quality reports, manage budgets, and maintain financial oversight while driving innovative solutions in a dynamic environment.
You will be responsible for line managing a Senior Transport Planner in a pro-active, innovative, and dynamic way, helping this officer deliver a portfolio of Healthy Streets projects and support their personal development.

All About You
To be successful in securing this role you will have strong experience of successful project management and delivery of complex heathy streets schemes. You will also have a strong understanding and experience of the policy and statutory framework within which Healthy Streets, transport planning and related activities.&nbsp;
You will be a pro-active and forward-thinking experienced project manager, capable of successfully managing initiatives, often over-lapping with one another, both on time and to budget. You will be able to demonstrate effective partnership working and the ability to develop strong stakeholder relations, including liaising with all relevant external organisations such as TfL, GLA, other boroughs and external funders. To ensure success in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding and appreciate of issues specifically around streetscape design, accessibility, and sustainability. From co-design workshops to digital engagement campaigns, you’ll create opportunities for people to connect, contribute, and feel proud of this transformative project.What You’ll Do<ul><li>Deliver wide-reaching, inclusive engagement activities across Ealing.</li><li>Build strong relationships with local groups, schools, and partners.</li><li>Facilitate co-design processes for the park’s trail, hubs, and branding.</li><li>Develop creative digital engagement strategies and produce regular newsletters.</li><li>Promote volunteering and community-led initiatives that support sustainability and biodiversity.</li></ul>About You<ul><li>Experienced in community engagement and co-design, with a track record of working with diverse communities.</li><li>Skilled communicator with the ability to build trust and inspire participation.</li><li>Confident using digital tools and social media to engage audiences.</li><li>Committed to equality, diversity, inclusion, and environmental sustainability.</li></ul>You must have the right to work in the UK.
