We are looking for people who love Vintage &amp; Retro and upcycling items to join our dedicated and creative team in Holt. We have a large specialist vintage and retro department, catering for fashion enthusiasts who are looking for that special, unique look at a competitive price. &nbsp;Our diverse stock also consists of a large menswear department, extensive bric-a-brac shelves and a frequently refreshed ladies section featuring only mid to high-end labels priced at a fraction of their recommended retail value.
Please note - we do have a minimum age requirement in our shops of 18. We regret that we cannot proceed with your application if you are not yet 18.

Wyre Council are looking to recruit an Independent Member who will join the council’s Audit and Standards Committee.
The Committee’s Terms of Reference can be found in the Council’s Constitution which is published on our website.
As an Independent Member you will play an important role in enhancing the skills, experience and knowledge of the Audit and Standards Committee and supporting it to continue as a cornerstone of our governance and assurance framework.
The Committee, may be required to meet up to five times a year at the Civic Centre in Poulton-le-Fylde and the usual term of office is 4 years.&nbsp; These are voluntary positions; however, appointed members will be issued with a council device allowing them to access all on-line papers and are also able to claim mileage and other reasonable out-of-pocket expenses.
Anyone interested in this role must submit an application to the council demonstrating how you meet the essential and desirable criteria. The successful applicants will be recommended for approval by the Full Council, following which full training will be provided before your first meeting.

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work with a year two pupil for 15 hours per week, mornings.

The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and forward-thinking Educational Psychologist to join us in delivering high-quality psychological services to schools across North Somerset. This is an exciting opportunity to combine direct practice with leadership, innovation, and strategic development.&nbsp;

Key Responsibilities:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Applying psychology through the delivery of traded services to a cluster of schools.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Take on a leadership role in a key area of need—possible initial focus on Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), although we welcome proposals in other areas aligned to your expertise and interests.</li>
<li>Contribute to preventative work, for example through the delivery of CPD and supervision in SENCO networks or involvement with the Virtual School.</li>
<li>Undertake an allocation of statutory work.</li>
</ul>

This position is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. 

Valid driving licence and own transport, or be able to provide alternative, suitable method of travel is an essential condition for this role.

This position is currently based at our Town Hall offices in Weston-Super-Mare. 

Work Style
At North Somerset Council, we offer a hybrid working environment based on four distinct work styles. Depending on the role and personal circumstances, you will fall into one of these categories. However, please note that during the induction period, it may be necessary to spend more time in the office to support your learning and development. We are flexible and open to discussions about your preferred working style, and if you wish to be in the office more frequently, this can be negotiated.
This role falls into the category of Flexible Worker which means you can expect to work in the following way:

<li>2-3 days in the office or in schools.</li>
<li>Works both from home and the office, depending on the task at hand.</li>
<li>Training is provided to help balance work-life and manage time effectively, with an emphasis on communication for team touchpoints and planning in-office days for collaboration.</li>

About You
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about making impact through psychology and who possesses the following skills and experience:

Essential Criteria:
<ul>
<li>Nationally recognised postgraduate qualification in educational psychology.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Qualified EPs registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or trainee EPs in their final year of training who expect HCPC registration upon completion.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of a broad range of approaches to assessment and intervention, informed by current psychological research and practice.</li>
<li>Understanding of and commitment to consultation as a framework for service delivery.</li>
<li>Understanding of and commitment to supporting schools to achieve greater inclusion of children with special educational needs.</li>
<li>Knowledge, understanding of and commitment to professional codes of ethics.</li>
<li>Integrity - ability to be open and honest, to maintain high standards of personal behaviour and display strong moral principles.</li>
<li>Accountability - willingness to take personal responsibility for your actions and decisions, and to understand the consequences of your behaviour.</li>
<li>A demonstrable willingness to share information and work with other people, including the ability to listen, communicate with and understand others, taking account of other people’s points of view.</li>
<li>Excellent inter-personal skills including ability to communicate well orally and in writing.</li>
<li>Knowledge of the broad range of service users supported by the EPS, along with an understanding of the different needs across these groups.</li>
<li>A demonstrable willingness to share information and work with other people.</li>
</ul>

Desirable Criteria:
<ul>
<li>Proven track record in supporting children looked after.</li>
<li>Knowledge and awareness of national, regional, and international developments in Educational Psychology and Education in general.</li>
<li>Desire and ability to contribute to ongoing service development.</li>
<li>Competent research skills, data analysis, identification of trends and patterns to support the development of teaching and learning and/or the assessment of individual need.</li>
<li>Outstanding organisational skills, an ability to plan ahead, make priorities, manage workload, allocate time and cope with stress.</li>
<li>Strong professional commitment and the drive, enthusiasm, and energy to motivate others and manage change effectively.</li>
</ul>

Buglawton Primary School are looking to recruit 2 enthusiastic, committed and kind Midday Assistants to help with lunchtime provision. &nbsp;
You will be responsible for supervising and assisting children whilst they eat, as well as some basic serving duties.&nbsp; The role may involve setting up the Hall for dinner service and cleaning throughout the shift. On the playground, you will be responsible for promoting games and engaging with the children whilst ensuring that the school’s high standards of behaviour are maintained at all times.&nbsp;&nbsp;At the end of lunchtime, you will be responsible for putting away tables and chairs and cleaning the hall.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Hours of work are:
11.45am - 1.00pm, Monday to Friday (6.25 hours) 12.00noon - 1.00pm, Monday to Friday (5 hours)
The positions are term time only, 38 weeks of the year, and offered on a permanent basis.
