Hours: Full time - 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

Motivated, enthusiastic Youth Worker required to address the preventative and early intervention agenda.

You will be part of a team delivering high quality informal education projects and programmes, across an area, to meet Service priorities and achieve learning outcomes and targets.

You will be supported to establish new initiatives and develop, with young people, stimulating and challenging youth work programmes.

You will need to have the ability to quickly establishing positive relationships with diverse groups of young people and partners, the ability to respond flexibly to their needs and to the changing priorities of the Service. You will need to be a good communicator and advocate of young people.

The focus of your work will be with vulnerable groups; in targeted localities of need; the marketing and delivery of preventative programmes; and ensuring contracts are delivered to targets.

You will be required to deliver face to face work in accordance with JNC terms and conditions including residentials. You will be required to travel across the county so access to a vehicle is essential.

Applications are welcome from qualified and unqualified candidates. Unqualified applicants will be required to complete a nationally recognised JNC qualification.
