  • Diagnosing and fixing network faults and incidents
  • Assisting with upgrades, migrations and network improvement projects
  • Supporting network security controls and responding to vulnerabilities

  • Understanding of network monitoring, troubleshooting and performance optimisation
  • Knowledge of network security principles and best practice
  • Experience with network hardware such as switches, routers and wireless solutions
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Ability to work effectively in a live service environment

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Experience working in a public sector or complex multi-site organisation
  • Exposure to cloud or hybrid networking (e.g. Azure networking)
  • Familiarity with tools such as Aruba, Fortinet, SolarWinds or similar
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams Voice, SIP, SBCs, Direct Routing and call flow fundamentals.
