Are you passionate about compliance, health & safety, and delivering high quality housing services?
We are seeking a dedicated Contract Officer to play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of our gas and heating services, so that our housing stock remains safe, secure, and fully compliant with statutory and regulatory safety obligations. You will join a forward thinking local authority team and deliver on the supporting management compliance across our portfolio.

The Person We're looking for someone with experience of: • Providing administrative and coordination support across our gas safety compliance programmes.
• Maintaining accurate records, managing asset data, and monitoring performance and expenditure.
• Tracking and reporting on performance metrics, quality assurance, and compliance testing.
• Managing and recording landlord compliance data and inspection outcomes.
• Acting as a first point of contact for customer queries and complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Support the Contract Delivery and Quality Manager on our gas safety programme responding to the team inbox enquiries
• Manage the administration of programmes, attending meetings and taking accurate minutes, ensuring agendas and relevant items for agendas are prepared in advance and ensure that follow-up action is taken, as required.
• Maintain comprehensive records on the Council’s landlord compliance statutory and regulatory obligations per property, ensuring they are accurate records and held in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Track compliance progress weekly, reporting any slippages or issues immediately, liaising with line manager and relevant stakeholders.
• Administration of and drafting responses together with supporting data for Freedom of Information requests.
• Assist in our Compliance areas as and when required.
