Bracknell Forest Council Parks &amp; Countryside service is responsible for more than 300 hectares of countryside sites, ranging from large wildflower meadows and woodlands to play areas and sports pitches.&nbsp;

Two of our historic parks have been restored with grants from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Big Lottery Fund.&nbsp; Involvement of local communities is also central to this success.
<h3>Key responsibilities...</h3>

<li>To undertake estate management tasks including maintaining flower beds, cutting grass, planting shrubs, hedge cutting, sweeping leaves, removing litter, maintaining paths and other park infrastructure.</li>
<li>To undertake regular safety inspections of the parks and address resulting health and safety matters which arise.</li>
<li>To encourage community involvement and liaise with volunteers to help co-ordinate their work in the park.</li>
<li>To comply with all health and safety procedures, particularly in regard to machinery and equipment.</li>
<li>Carry out play area weekly inspections, reporting findings and making safe any issues.</li>

You must have a current Social Work England registration and have successfully completed your ASYE in a statutory children social care setting. We are looking for someone with experience of working with children and families that includes Child in Need and Child protection.
To succeed in this role, you will have knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance, policies and thresholds. You will also be able to demonstrate strong assessment and analytical skills. You should have experience of working in partnership with children and their families and other professionals, to produce needs led plans for children and young people. The Children’s Specialist Support Team (CSST) is a highly skilled team working with children who have disabilities and/or complex health needs. We are an experienced, friendly and supportive team who focuses on ensuring that children are at the centre of all we do.&nbsp; We provide a range of services for children with additional needs and those who are assessed to have additional vulnerability. This includes the council’s statutory responsibilities for disabled Children in Need in the community (including care packages and short breaks).
The team is an eclectic mix of different service areas covering a wide breadth of work with children with disabilities, Occupational Therapy, Short Breaks (including Larchwood, our short break respite unit), Taking a child first and social model approach. Key responsibilities:

<li>To advise on the transport implications/highways impacts of pre-application development proposals</li>

We are part of a multi-disciplinary team, consisting of 43 staff spread across 5 teams – Building Surveying, Housing New Build, Compliance, Mechanical and Electrical and Quality Assurance. Our role is to deliver a varied programme of repairs, maintenance, refurbishment, and redevelopment to our portfolio of housing stock alongside our Direct Services Organisation. We are open to flexible working patterns and can provide a hybrid working environment which utilises the best of both worlds with a mix of office working in central Reading and homeworking according to the needs of the Service. About the role: This is a key role within Housing Property Services, managing a team of building surveyors and a portfolio of your own projects as part of delivering our annual planned works programme. The role offers real variety and involvement in a wide range of exciting projects. We manage circa 6000 stock of residential property, from Victorian terrace houses, through to high rise flats and modern care facilities. Through partnership working, with both the tenant and contractor, you will arrange and manage works from inception to completion to ensure a seamless approach is delivered. Our planned works programme has an annual budget of circa £14 million, with additional multi-million pound refurbishment projects. We are looking for Deputy Team Manager Occupational Therapist for Brent’s Reablement Team which is&nbsp;an integrated service combining the fast-paced response to Pathway 1 Home First discharges and the delivery of reablement and social care services in a short term response team set up. The team’s ethos is about promoting and enabling independence and we have good working relationships with our partners and colleagues in the hubs and intermediate care.&nbsp;

The successful candidates will ideally have post graduate experience in Social Care and or Intermediate Care, have experience of supervising staff and or students in the work place and of working with Home Care providers and/or Reablement providers.
