Learn Hillingdon Adult Community Education is looking for enthusiastic and caring Casual Learning Support Assistants to support learners across a range of adult education programmes. You will play a vital role in helping learners access learning, build confidence and achieve their goals in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment.

You Will

  • Provide one-to-one and group support to learners in classes and community settings.
  • Help create an inclusive learning environment where all learners can thrive.
  • Support learners with their personal, social and educational development.
  • Work closely with tutors to identify and meet individual learner needs.
  • Assist with learner reviews, assessments and record keeping.
  • Support educational visits, enrichment activities and occasional exam invigilation.
  • Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion at all times.

You are patient, approachable and committed to helping adults overcome barriers to learning.

You will have:

  • Experience working in education, health, social care or a similar support role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good IT and administrative skills.
  • An understanding of supporting learners with a range of needs, including learners with disabilities and learning difficulties.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and delivering excellent customer service.
