BE PART OF A TEAM

We are seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to join the Lighting and Traffic Engineering service on a permanent basis.

As a Senior Traffic Engineer, you will form an integral part of the team delivering the traffic engineering programme in Islington, carrying out but not limited to, design, estimation, project management and site supervision of a range of schemes including public realm, cycleway, liveable neighbourhood and general traffic schemes.

This role also includes:

  • Line manager responsibilities of junior staff
  • Regularly liaising with both internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to other Council departments, contractors, utility companies, developers, police, members of the public and other organisations as deemed necessary
  • Working closely with our term maintenance contractor to deliver a successful borough wide programme of high-profile schemes.

Working under the Traffic Manager and Principal Engineers, you will be helping deliver Islington Councils Traffic and Engineering programme.

We are looking for someone who is competent, has the technical experience, and is a team player to help use deliver the best schemes possible.
