Our historic environment is a key asset, including 47 conservation areas and over 400 listed buildings. • Migration of our IT system to a more efficient and customer friendly system with further improvements to streamline the application process

• Development of trainee Class 1 Registered Building Inspectors

The focus of the work of the Senior Building Control Surveyor is dealing with a day-to-day management of an area for plan checking and carrying out site inspections. This will involve working with other Council services to deliver improvements to our existing buildings such as leisure centres, libraries and housing projects.

The ideal candidate will be Class 2F registered and working towards Class 3.
