An opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to join the team working to support our pupils.
Wings Notts School is an independent special school catering for pupils whose primary diagnosis is autism and who have often struggled in mainstream settings. We offer a low-arousal environment with small group sizes and put our pupils at the centre of everything that we do.
As a TA you will put pupils at the centre of your work, supporting them to thrive in the school environment so that they develop the skills needed for life. You will work with pupils to improve opportunities for them to develop their talents and interests and help them to grow in confidence and independence. 
This will include working with pupils on an individual basis and in small groups, both on a regular and an ad-hoc basis. You will be a team player and work closely with the teachers of Literacy and the wider staff team to ensure pupils achieve the best possible outcomes.

Job Title:&nbsp;Housing Support Worker

<h4>About the Role</h4>
We're hiring a Housing Support Worker to join our floating support service which is based in Brent. The service supports adults who have been or are at risk of homelessness, have experienced social exclusion, have previous criminal convictions, suffer with their mental health, have substance misuse, and/or could have a learning disability. You will support participants on their journey towards recovery, reablement, and independence, all within a compassionate, trauma informed environment.
In this role, you'll be at the heart of delivering high quality, person centered support through tailored support plans which provide practical interventions, to empower our participants to overcome personal challenges, develop life skills, and achieve their personal goals. You will also work closely in partnership with various organisations to support the different needs of our participants, which may include signposting. Job Title:&nbsp;Housing Support Worker
Location:&nbsp;Based primarily in Brent, (Main office near the Civic Centre), you will provide support to Brent residents and participants in a variety of settings, including their homes, community locations, Brent Hubs, and libraries across the borough. Please be kindly aware although there is step free access at our base office, we cannot guarantee step free access in our outreach sites and participant homes.
Salary:&nbsp;£27,000
Shift Pattern:&nbsp;37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday on a rota which can range between 08:00 - 16:00, 09:00 - 17:00 and 10:00 - 18:00. You may be required to work outside these hours dependent on service and participant requirements.&nbsp;
<h4>About the Role</h4>
We're hiring a Housing Support Worker to join our floating support service which is based in Brent. The service supports adults who have been or are at risk of homelessness, have experienced social exclusion, have previous criminal convictions, suffer with their mental health, have substance misuse, and/or could have a learning disability. You will support participants on their journey towards recovery, reablement, and independence, all within a compassionate, trauma informed environment.
In this role, you'll be at the heart of delivering high quality, person centered support through tailored support plans which provide practical interventions, to empower our participants to overcome personal challenges, develop life skills, and achieve their personal goals. You will also work closely in partnership with various organisations to support the different needs of our participants, which may include signposting. Key Responsibilities Include:

<li>Support participants will all aspects of their housing needs to support them ensure sustainable housing.</li>
<li>Co-create tailored support plans which are centred towards the participants needs.</li>
<li>Signpost participants with local providers to support with their independence such as with Job Centres, employment support hubs, community support centres, mental health trusts and other as relevant.</li>
<li>Recognise support needs in an individual and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent further deterioration.</li>
<li>Complete safeguarding and other referrals where required.</li>

About the Role
Oak View Academy is excited to recruit a passionate and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our new Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Resource Provision, a specialist setting designed to support up to 10 children with EHCPs facing SEMH challenges such as anxiety, attachment difficulties, social, communication and behavioural challenges.
This unique role involves teaching small groups and delivering bespoke one-to-one interventions with a tailored curriculum designed to meet individual pupil needs. You will work both within the resource base and alongside mainstream classes to help pupils overcome barriers and thrive academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting Teaching and Learning in the Classroom

<li>Work collaboratively with teachers to plan and deliver tailored support for pupils with SEMH needs within mainstream or specialist settings.</li>
<li>Adapt tasks to ensure SEMH pupils can access and succeed in their learning.</li>
<li>Provide emotional and behavioural support, encouraging resilience, independence, and self-regulation.</li>
<li>Act as a consistent, calming presence for pupils, helping to manage transitions and emotional responses throughout the day.</li>
<li>Contribute to creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.</li>
</ul>
Delivering SEMH Interventions
<ul>
<li>Plan, deliver, and assess small group and 1:1 interventions focused on emotional literacy, self-regulation, social skills, self-esteem, and anxiety management.</li>
<li>Monitor pupil progress and engagement and adjust intervention strategies accordingly.</li>
<li>Maintain records and provide feedback to the SENCO and teaching staff.</li>

Parental Engagement and Support
<ul>
<li>Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support pupils’ SEMH needs holistically.</li>
<li>Communicate regularly with families, updating them on pupil progress, support strategies, and areas of concern.</li>
<li>Attend and contribute to meetings with parents, including review meetings and EHCP discussions.</li>
<li>Offer guidance or signpost external support to help families assist their child’s development at home.</li>

Additional Responsibilities

<li>Deliver planned lessons and targeted interventions to small groups and bespoke one-to-one sessions.</li>
<li>Occasionally cover whole classes during short-term teacher absences and weekly PPA cover.</li>
<li>Collaborate with teaching staff to develop schemes of work and personalised learning materials suited to pupils’ SEMH needs.</li>
<li>Implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive social skills.</li>
<li>Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to EHCP reviews and providing detailed feedback to staff, parents, and external agencies.</li>
<li>Liaise with mainstream teachers to ensure seamless support for resource provision pupils integrating into mainstream lessons.</li>
<li>Supervise pupils throughout activities and tasks, maintaining a positive and structured learning environment.</li>

Required Qualifications &amp; Experience
<ul>
<li>HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience.</li>
<li>Proven experience working with children with SEMH needs within an educational setting.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating patience, calmness, and proactivity.</li>
<li>Strong behaviour management skills, with training in methods such as Team Teach highly desirable.</li>

Strategic Planning Manager
We are looking for a tenacious leader to work with our Strategic Planners to take us forward into this new era of planning policy.&nbsp; We have a fully resourced team who have shown remarkable resilience in progressing our Local Plan to adoption in March 2025.&nbsp; We are looking for someone who is ready to scope a way forward, show initiative and act independently but with full support of the Chief Planner.
A critical part of the role will be building a solid relationship with the Development Management Manager to ensure there is a holistic approach to planning for Wirral in the future. &nbsp;
The role specifically recognises the importance of protecting build heritage in Wirral and the postholder will also manage the experienced and successful heritage team, as they seek to proactively manage the remarkable environment across Wirral.&nbsp; We also have ambition to develop the strategic service further and you would be a key part in shaping and realising that goal, bringing your own vision and passion.

We have a fantastic opportunity available for a Social Worker to join our supportive and dedicated Mental Health Team at Wokingham Borough Council, on a full time, 1-year fixed term contract.

Key responsibilities:
